Exactly. Mr Abbott isn't saying how he will rule the country. At present, we can only speculate.

Still, you'd think we'd be entitled to know what sort of guys he likes - or doesn't like.

If he's straight, that's fine. He can still lie there and get a nice wank. He can have a Platonic relationship that can grow into something special. There's nothing wrong with it. People do it all the time.

I know a young guy who would love to explore his sexuality with an older man in the Liberal Party - someone with connections, anyway. He isn't too fond of Mr Slipper, but he's on the outer now. Anyway, he's a Liberal/National rat.

There's no one in One Nation anymore, is there?

I don't think you should be so rude. These are important questions our elected politicians need to come out and answer. How can we trust them to run the country if we don't even know what they get up to in their bedrooms?

Look at Bob Brown, Penny Wong, Chris Pyne, Martin Ferguson. These are people who aren't afraid to stand loud and proud.

Then there are politicians like Mr Abbott. I know he's an ex-priest, but he shouldn't be ashamed of his religion/sexuality like that.

It's true that some priests are straight, but at least they keep it to themselves.

Thought Lines? Didn't he also write a book called Battlelines?

A subliminal message that Mr Abbott is appealing to the Howard battlers. I.e, aspirational types, tradies, rough trade. Muscle marys and gym queens.

Not to mention people who listen to Alan. The sort of people that, in Amerika, they call-log cabin Republicans: rich old queens. Balding, mustachioed ex-sailors and marines who become "libertarians" after the little wifey takes them for everything they've got.

If Mr Abbott wasn't so busy playing the virgin princess, he could collect all these votes and keep them in his purse for a rainy day.

Remember: one wrong move as PM and Mr Turnbull's waiting behind the curtains. And we all know which way Mr Turnbull swings as the member for Oxford Street.

Personally, I think he's straight. Lucy's not the type to put up with any shenanigans.
