The next election is still quite a way of yet.  Anything is still possible. including another term for labor.

This is true.
Also given England coach Stuart Pearce hasn't named his squad for the Euro 2012 Championships - it is still a possibility that I will get called up.

The odds for this and a Labor win are probably not too dissimilar.

The election will be next year and we will see.  Although I do know that there are some liberals, that think they have it in the bag.  Well I am afraid to say, that they do actually have to win it.   Wink

Assuming a Labor MP doesn't die.

And this to me is the problem - are we voting a bad govt out or a good one in?

I have no doubt that the current government have performed substantially better than the media driven spin would indicate while the opposition would clearly be a disaster for Australia.

I see more an option to replace a reasonable government with an extremely poor one.

It's going to be very close.
It's neck and neck between Obama and Romney now.

However once the Republicans get down to just the one candidate it will see how it shakes up.

The improving economy helps Obama.

I don't actually have that much of a problem with Obama.
He's impressed me a bit on foreign policy and his resolve to fight terror.

If only he would drop his healthcare plan which the country can't afford, he isn't that bad.

I could think of a lot worse Presidents.
I can live with either an Obama 2nd term or a Romney first one so I'm ok with it.
I can't vote anyway.
