meanwhile, we'll import these type of 'skilled" people. hey. they've got a piece of paper that says they're qualified - whos gonna argue?
They won't last in the job if they're not up to the tasks.
A smart business won't retain people like that.
So then they go on the dole.
Great outcome.
OK, so you don't want them in work, and you don't want them receiving welfare.
What do you want then? An end to immigration?
A heavy reduction in the amount of immigration. I certainyl don't want another 30,000 on top of our existing record immigration levels. That much is obvious from the opening post.
Adding 1% to our population (which is already considered by some to be nearly double what the country can sustain) through migration alone every year, plus births - how does that benefit average Aussie Joe? As I've already said - fewer jobs, higher living costs, fewer resources and stretched infrastructure, not to mention a growing underclass.
Whether they are skilled or not makes little differnce in many facets - skilled or unskilled they still require housing, food, water, transport, essential services etc.
But so long as big business is making their billions, we should just suck it up.
