Parramatta League side - a joke!
Apr 17th, 2012 at 7:05pm

Now the news tonight that Parramatta halfback Chris Sandow, recruited as the Marquee signing for Parramatta at $500,000 a year is playing for Wenworthville this weekend.

So many 1st graders are playing or Wenty now it isn't funny. Sandow follows that little champion, Luke Burt there.

It is every players' fault but never Stephen Kearney's the Coach.

They are joking! It IS ALL KEARNEY'S fault. He is trying to turn Parra into Melbourne Storm where he did his coaching apprenticeship.

Parra will never be Melbourne Storm. I have a suggestion, send Kearney to Coach Wentworthville and get someone that knows about, Parra, who they are and how they play football.

They could start by watching the videos of the 1981 side under Jack Gibson, a coach who did know what he was doing.

Kearney's "structure" is predictable and boring. 5 hit ups and then kick. Repeat, repeat, repeat.
He has 3 great attacking players - Hayne, Roberts, and Sandow. But they struggle to score a try a match.
Kearney has restricted them too much; concentrated on completion of sets and ignored any creative play.

I actually received a reply from the executive assistant to Bob Bentley Director of Parramatta Rugby League club in regard to my criticisms of Stephen Kearney.

She said, "they were trying to turn it around."

I had suggested that Stephen Kearney be sent to Wentworthville and that they could do a lot worse than looking at the 1981 videos of Parra in the season under Jack Gibson when they won their first premiership.

What a free flowing style they had.

This bunch looks like a bunch of soldiers crabs trying to scuttle up field.

Trouble with Kearney is, he stifles individuality, Jack Gibson used to encourage the hell out of players to show hm what they had...and therein lies the difference my friends.
