The leftists speak as one on a number of issues. Supporting illegal entries to Australia and anti-Semitism are two of them. They're not logically connected in anyway, but the overarching theme is the hatred of their own people and hatred of authority. Israel is powerful, this makes it a sitting duck for leftists. Illegal immigrants aren't Australians/white people, so they're "good" people.
Australia, like most Western countries, simply lack balls (strength and courage if you don't get the metaphor). There's been a concerted attack against anything that rules, is strong, is powerful, is rich by the left for the past 40 years. The left is purely a movement of negation; it simply attempts to destroy, it cannot construct. Construction takes intelligence, vision, and the will to implement it.
