Remember the infamous 'baton-charge' through Reid & McPhillamy Park in 1977?

The cops blotted their copy-book so badly that weekend it wasn't funny.

Many fans never returned, and respect for the police was forever tainted after that.

It was the beginning of the end for the Easter motorcycle races, and was an example

You certainly don't have to be Muslim to make similar statements/chants/attacks towards the Police. The Redfern riots and Macquarie fields riots are two recent examples that spring to mind.

From the Eureka Stockade rebellion - through the Vietam War Moratorium Movement - to "Occupy" - and the present ...

Pacifists, trade unionists, environmentalists, human rights advocates, to everyday AUSTRALIANS - have protested ( ... whether justified, or not) against police violence - making a "healthy, democratic disrespect for authority" almost our "cultural heritage"

NOTHING, specifically, tagged "Muslim" as yet - I'm AFRAID

( ... surprising, given the number of "terrorists" singled out and arrested by the Australian Federal Police - based on race and religion "profiling")

But, FEAR NOT, should this occur - the front pages of Murdoch Press tabloids across the nation should keep you up to speed and sufficiently hysterical

Geez you carry on Political Puppet; about Police that is. We have a great Police Force that carries out an onerous job under extreme pressure in this 'under the pump society'

You are quick to criticize Police but it is all nice and cosy when you are standing on the sideline and not getting your precious hands dirty.

I would lay money you've never had to deal with an angry man.

And before you start banging on about that person who got himself tasered and died.

That bloke was high on party drugs - you know the kind Bob Carr wants all our kids to go and get it on with. He was in flipsville. If that bloke had just knocked back a view drinks he would have been O.K. but no....he had to go out and get whacked on Crack then went berserk in public.. Too bad, so sad...he died. I'm not saying it wasn't tragic but that's where 'party drugs' can end up leaving you, dead on the footpath.

Trouble is you haven't been on the front line and there is almost zero chance of you being on the front line unless you and do ecstasy or amphetamines.

So chill out Puppet. The police will take care of things, you go back to the bourbon and coke and let real men and women deal with all the sh.t that is out there.
