It is this sort of response that highlights the harm Abbott and his choir of shock jocks are doing to our society.

The man is breeding denialism, talking down the economy and taking political discourse in this country into sickening territory. This is the damage he is doing in opposition, God protect us when he holds the reins of government.

Clearly this Opposition thinks it can say whatever it likes without fear of retribution.

This is the face of old from Abbott. From time to time it bursts out but his handlers pack it away again. It must be painful being so deceitful. phony tony. Grin Grin Grin

But he is right she has painted a target on herself

Pathetic

why? because it is true? apart from a literal interpretation (I assume you are not that big a fool), it is exceedingly accurate. she is a lightnig rod for all labors bad press and bad polls. now... tell me how disgustinbg it is that I called her a lightning rod.

The only think people find offensive about his comment is that it is highly accurate and they dont like it.

If it is all about us being overly sensitive why did Abbott apologise.

Because politicians have to pander to the insecurities and hypocrisies of some people.

And funny... a Labor commentator yesterday said basically the same thing but used a disfferent metaphor.

sometimes you labor supporters are so 'precious'.

I'm not sure you understand what the issue is here. We're not talking here about Abbott's nastiness, we are talking about implicitly condoning violence in an environment where our scientists are already receiving death threats.
