what ongoing costs? operating a building and a skeleton staff and some security? it will cost less than the money spent on innumerable wasted projects ever govt has engaed in in the last 100 years.

100 years is a pittance. We are talking 10,000 years.
I estimated that just a security force of a dozen at $50k each, for 10,000 years would cost about $1.5 gazillion to fund which you include inflation. No to mention you'd need to rebuild the building every 2 or 300 years (50 times)....

Its the storage time thats the killer. 5 times as long as christianity has existed!

has it never occured to you that technology just MIGHT advance over the next couple centuries? Never thought that we might have proper disposal techniques within 100 years? do you really think that in 500 years time we wont have worked out how to clean up our crap???

Haha so as long as you don’t have to deal with the consequences it’s ok?

Ha, Longy, the great hater of science is relying on science to somehow solve the disposal of nuclear waste within 100 years to make his economic model work.

Take that to a bank and see how you go looking for investors ?

I havent seen this amateurish economics since Joe Hockey last opened his mouth.
