I've had it with this rubbish. This scare campaign from the pinko lefties that there is something wrong with nuclear waste. Toughen up you pack of old girls. I deny that nuclear waste exists, their is nothing wrong with it even if it did exist and you are all exaggerating what is natural. For gods sakes the good lord created the sun which emits radiation constantly so please it is all good.

this is a conservative fruit cake policy of denial. vote one the mad monk for delusional fool and great big head of all things.

......so whaddya do?

The waste already exists.  It's not going away.

Even if the 'ongoing costs' for a dump are a lot (they're not) something still needs to be done with the waste.

Ideas?

I like the idea that if you use it, you keep it.

Thereby pricing polution into the fuel costs without actually officially doing it.

As you may have noticed, I am a massive fan of pricing polution into the economic cycle.
Grin

you are obviously completely unware that there are many countries that dont actuall yhave a place to safely store the waste so it is kept in UNSAFE places?  they still use it tho because they have no options.

even the economic argument supports my policy.

Iran will be looking for income post peak oil.
Perhaps offer them all the nuke waste.

They may decide to share it with their mates Israel.

It may have escaped your ken that Iran is located near the edge of tectonic plates.  I'd rather nuclear leaks didn't happen at all, than happen in Iran.

Then stand up with me and end uranium mining.

No Australian uranium, nuclear is priced out by sustainable energy across the globe.

Result, no nuke waste.

Does this treat the children who live near these reactors, so have higher cancer rates to children not living near a nuke.

it's about time we started testing the children living around Lucas Heights and locations where uranium is transported/ship through, like ports.

it is not a choice of nuclear or coal.

It's a choice of sustainable or unsustainable.

Coal, Coal Seam Gas and Nuclear is unsustainable.

the science is all there already just waiting for intelligent people to read it. of course that excludes you.

but it doesnt matter because whether you accept it or not, peak oil is a myth at best and a con at worst. with 150 years of oil supplies CURRENTLY known and about 500 yeras of gas, it will be a long time before you mud-hut subsistence lifestyle dream becomes a reality.
