Here is a message from the Moderator on the closing of the message board
>>>>>>>>>> Hi all
After 6pm today, no new posts can be submitted, and this message board will be closed permanently.
Something like 100,000 posts from more than 15,000 unique visitors over 5 years isn't too bad.
See you around ABC Online. TV is working on some interesting projects to do with audience participation, so things are evolving and we're trying new things.
Feedback has generally been honest and energetic on this forum, and for the most part added some needed personality and colour to what can often be an internet of repetitive links and blurbs. That's just my opinion anyway... hopefully we can bring something new to the table that inspires reaction, debate, attitude, discussion and enjoyment, without relying heavily on external services we can't control whose revenue comes from advertising. That's the trick for ABC, and the source of much discussion here. All in the interest of keeping audiences happy and informed.

Seems an honest statement that seems to indicate some dissatisfaction within the ABC regarding the decision to go to Twitter and Facebook.
Let's hope the ABC management listens to its own staff , even if they don't listen to us, and either revives the old message board, or designs a suitable replacement.
