Oh gee - I was hoping to have a jew-free year, yet here it is again, the stupid squabbling
Anyone read Schlomo Z/Sands book, ' When and How Was the Jewish People Invented?'
Familiar with the stated belief of Israel's first Prime Minister, David Ben Gurion, plus most of the original zionist heirarchy, regarding what the above took as fact, namely that today's Palestinians are 'the region's
true descendents of the original jews' ?
Or, as the famous British statesman declared during the time of the European jews' invasion of Palestinian lands, businesses, homes, factores AND bank-accounts: '
The Romans ruled Britain longer than the jews held the holy-land - and the Romans left Britain in FAR better condition than the jews left the holy-lands' or words to that effect'[/I]
I'm not permitted currently to post a link to the sources, but if you run searches for either Schlomo Sand or his book, you'll be inundated
Here are some exerpts:
Moses could not have led the Hebrews out of Egypt into the Promised Land, for the good reason that the latter was Egyptian territory at the time.
And there is no trace of either a slave revolt against the pharaonic empire or of a sudden conquest of Canaan by outsiders.
Nor is there any trace or memory of the magnificent kingdom of David and Solomon. (Professor Schlomo Sand states without equivocation that David and Solomon were 'myths')
Recent discoveries point to the existence, at the time, of two small kingdoms: Israel, the more powerful, and Judah, the future Judea.
The general population of Judah did not go into 6th century BC exile: only its political and intellectual elite were forced to settle in Babylon.
This decisive encounter with Persian religion gave birth to Jewish monotheism.'' ... the population of Judea continued to live on their lands, even after the destruction of the second temple.
Some converted to Christianity in the 4th century, while the majority embraced Islam during the 7th century Arab conquest.'

Millions in Israel alone have read it
But who's read: '
The Bible Came From Arabia' by Professor Kamal Salibi ?
Difficult to get hold of a copy. It was difficult to get it published. Initially, publishers were vying for the chance. Then 'pressure' was exerted. Apparently, certain people didn't want the information to see the light of day. In the end, courageous publishers in Germany first of all, put it into print. These days, available copies are snapped up and (one suspects) shredded
The Bible came from
Arabia ? Wow. There'd be egg on faces if it were proven so, wouldn't there ? And repatriation -- ? All those Palestinians who've been relentlessly robbed, killed and maimed for 60-plus years ---
only for it to be established that the jews had land-grabbed the wrong place ? Where in Arabia, you might ask. Well, broadly speaking, West Arabia - Asir to be more precise. At least that is the nominated location. Allegedly, it contains many 'biblical sites' (described as a 'remarkable concentration') which even today defy discovery in Palestine, try as they might
The back-cover blurb states: '
This book has caused a predictable storm amongst academics and politicians' The issue is of such importance that everyone should read the evidence first hand' Like me, you may find it interesting that the above does not say, ' predictable storm amongst academics and historians -- or academics and theologians'. No -- it says 'academics and
politicians '. Accurate, honest. Because that's what it is, all this argy bargy re: 'israel and Palestine' -- it's political. Political. Religion has buggerall to do with it (but don't tell the American fundamentalists upon whom 'israel' relies )

Ultimately, the only people arguing these issues are members of online fora. All the rest, the israeli govt., the zionists, the US and UK govts., academics, theologians, historians, main stream media, etc. etc. know that (as usual) this entire charade (Israel-Palestine blah blah) is just another jewish production in the spirit of 'Gone With the Wind' and 'Ben Hur'
