Hes never actually done anything after all these years in public life...thats one of the problems
You have to put yourself on the line to make mistakes and any idiot can stand on the sidelines yelling out abuse and pointing to the mistakes brave people have made while ignoring their achievments.
Abbott has always been one of those idiots standing on the sidelines pointing out others mistakes while never achieving anything himself.

Yeah, a part by their own admission they hid during election campaigns Wink

Kinda like he now hides from serious news and political programs.

Abbott hid behind Howard and Costellos achievments and he is still doing it.
At least Howard and Costello had the balls to actually take the hard decisions, make mistakes and learn from them.
All Abbott does is ridicule others while being nothing more than a hollow man.

Today I saw and heard Bob Brown speaking and noted the similarity to the way JuLiar speaks--

The upper lips of both remain pressed tight while their bottom lips reveal teeth of rodents.

Maybe that's the way of hypocrites.

Incoming foreign minister Bob Carr has issued a warning to his Labor Party colleagues to stop leaking internal details to the media.

The former New South Wales premier was appointed to the role by Prime Minister Julia Gillard on Friday, after a week of speculation about whether he would be drafted in to fill Mark Arbib's vacant Senate seat.

Mr Carr replaces Kevin Rudd, who was demoted to the backbench after losing Monday's leadership ballot to Ms Gillard.

Mr Carr says while ministerial reshuffles can be brutal affairs, the practice of "gabbling" to the media has to be excised from Labor culture.

"It's always surrounded by angst and disappointment. There's no other way of doing it," he said.

"A leader has got to make choices - a leader has got to choose.

"I had to do that as leader and it left people disappointed who thought sometimes quite reasonably that they could have done a job as well as the ministers chosen.

"But in the end, the team's got to be assembled by the leader and so it has been."

pretty easy to tell everyone to stop whinging when HE was the single big winner being given the third most prestigious job in government and not even in parliament yet!

Maybe it's just a peculiarly Australian way of speaking.  I recall seeing a couple of interviews on TV with Jack Brabham, and that description fits him perfectly (not that I'm suggesting that he is a rodent of course).

I am trying to look for the words "Carr starting to undermine Gillard" or even "Carr undermines" in the article reference and link of Carrs comments
Couldn't find it
