Ok I beg your forgiveness, but I'm a busy man...Can you please be more specific about which articles pertinent to our discussion you wish me to read?

Particularly, I'd like to see:

1 who and how peak oil was calculated to occur in 150 years time and what price per barrel it was calculated at (yes , I'm still banging on about that and that question isn't going to just go away, it's central to what a reserve is)

2 An article or paper that can prove it takes hundreds of thousands of years to form in nature. You erronouisly attribute the link I provided you with to being about synthetic production. It isnt. it highlights that oil can form naturally in less than 4 years.

also..."it also gets to the point, where technology &/or more money just don't cut the mustard"
yup and at $1000 a barrel (thats, what, 10 times the current price!!) that point is a hell of a lot further off than the next 150 years!!!

I'm sure we are all busy!

That said, I don't have an unlimited amount of time either.

In fact, my time is quite restricted these days, so I will have to suggest you do what I had to do, which was source my own information, look at all sides and come to my/your own conclusions!

That said, the following 2 sites are good starting points -
http://www.ozpolitic.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1276908003/all
http://www.theoildrum.com/

But there is more to Economic & Life, than just Geology & Oil, so if you want a wider perspective then I suggest you include the effects of Demographics, of the roll of Debt & the Monetary system and finally the effects of Climate Change!

Good luck, watch the Debt & enjoy your education!
