Rudd appears quite frustrated by all the leadership questions.
That's because it's just media hype.
Rudd is not coming back, no matter what Four Corners says.
But I'll watch it to see.
I guess it was just media hype too when all the talk was Gillard would challange.
Or when Wilkie was about to be shafted.
Or when Costello was going to challenge. Oh wait...

I guess 2 out of 3 aint bad??
from memory Costello was never going to challenge that was the problem Howard said he would step aside..and he didnt [ I am sure to his utter regret]..however I do not ever recall a challenge from Costello.there was never has he got the numbers...
did he say he had more chance of being a fullback for the swans???
some weird answer to a question???????
Your memory needs refreshing:

Costello's future linked to Howard's fate
by News Weekly
News Weekly, April 21, 2001
Peter Costello has finally put to an end all speculation of a challenge to John Howard's leadership this side of the Federal election, according to a discreetly placed Sydney newspaper report.
The Treasurer has reportedly told his eager backers to cease all their behind-the-scenes lobbying on his behalf and to concentrate on the job of re-electing the Government.
An open acknowledgement that there would now be no test of John Howard's leadership would have only raised speculation of an aborted challenge, so the Treasurer's minders apparently provided a "background briefing" to send a clear but non-damaging message to the media, the backbench, and presumably Mr Howard himself.

Speculation rife of leadership challenge against Howard
Prime Minister John Howard has issued a warning to restless Liberals not to indulge in selfish behaviour as speculation over a future leadership challenge escalates. Mr Howard's message is directed towards supporters of his deputy, Peter Costello, after reports the Treasurer would be prepared to mount a leadership challenge if the Prime Minister does not step aside next year. Mr Howard has raised the stakes further, again hinting he may never retire.

Treasurer Peter Costello has not ruled out challenging Prime Minister John Howard's leadership during the government's current term.
Mr Costello stressed today that the Liberal Party was at its best when it facilitated a smooth transition to a new leadership.
His comments followed renewed leadership speculation, with News Ltd newspapers reporting Mr Howard had said he intended leading the coalition into the next election.
