Greens Will Work With ALP Leadership

Now we just have to find some leadership within the ALP

jokes aside ... Greens yet again supply security and honesty to Australia's parliament ... as well as policies for the old, tired and idealess parties.

Greens leader Bob Brown says he would reach a fresh arrangement with a new Labor leader should Julia Gillard be toppled.

But Senator Brown said he hadn't been sounded out, unlike independent MP Rob Oakeshott who revealed on Monday he had been approached to assess his views on a change of leadership.

"I am not supporting a particular future leader. I have made an arrangement and signed off on it with Christine Milne with the current prime minister and treasurer in this government," Senator Brown told ABC Television on Monday night.

"But yes, if there were a change we would expect that we'd come to an arrangement with whoever the Labor leader was."

Following the last election, which resulted in a hung parliament, Labor negotiated with independents and Greens to form government.

Senator Brown said his intention when he signed the agreement was that Ms Gillard would be the prime minister who took the country to the next election.

He said Ms Gillard had faced attacks with a relentlessly sexist and misogynistic tone and he wasn't alone in perceiving that.

"It's there in media commentary. I think it's there in the opposition's relentless attacks," he said.

"We didn't see this with John Howard.

"It's time the standards were raised just a little."

Meanwhile Liberals have taken on Greens policy surrounding a free Dental Scheme and run with it.

Labor has taking on Greens policy of pricing carbon, a green fund for renewables and now stopping punishing the unemployed and their families.

can anyone remember the last time she answered a question?????????????

gotta laugh the way the greens claim credit for everything.,.the Libs dental policy was there during the Howard years,,

may I suggest booby sees a vote catcher and jumps in... he has no more power over legislation than I have.he is quite happy to see jobs go overseas...or just plain shut down..

They all know that they're gone, so why would they? None of them actually care about the Australian people and democracy; it's all about self-interest.

It is a bit like the time she called people (most of Australians) that they were extremists for not liking being lied to and wanted her to retract the carbon tax.

Howard had total control of the Parliament ... heaps of cash from the mineral boom and all the benefits from Labor's micro reform.

Why didn't howard act if he was serious about Australian health?

Needed the cash for election bribes?

Yes, because this government has been so beneficial for the Australian people. Billions wasted on failed schemes, resulting in billions and billions of dollars in deficit, compared to the healthy surplus left by the previous Coalition government; a laughable and pathetic 'border policy', whereby illegals are coming by the dozen and getting more than the average Aussie, and a carbon tax that most people did not want, were promised we would not have, and most importantly, is not going to do a thing for the envirionment and the non-existent global warming hoax. Not to mention the backdown on the promise of no change to the marriage act, and the clearly divided and unstable Labor leadership.
