See the profile Google has on you

http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/html/blocked-cookies.html
It wont work if you have cookies disabled but is pretty interesting to see how they target adverts at you.

For those who don’t know Google has released a new privacy agreement where they track you 24/7 and you can’t opt out..
So if you have a YouTube or any Google account I would research it and consider removing your account.. Not that most big websites don’t track you anyway.

Lucky I get this so Mr Google can stick his adds.

Google
Ads Preferences

Cookies are disabled

Your browser's cookies seem to be disabled. Ads Preferences will not work until you enable cookies in your browser. How do I enable cookies?

They can track me all they want.

From the best deals in cucumber peelers, hot sweaty goat sex vids and those orange plastic caps you put on star pickets.

Thankyou Mr Google for making my shopping decisions easier.

Seems harmless enough. Now.

Cods and blackadder - check again on the second link. I don't think this forum would work without cookies.

I see google is advertising restaurant vouvhers here. They must know I am interested in cookies.

Very few websites work properly without cookies enabled.

Firefox is your friend in this! It has an option which (when enabled) will ask you if you want to accept cookies from a new website. You get to choose and it'll remember your decisions. It is a bit of a pain every time you go to a new site but you do get used to it.

You'd be surprised - if (for instance) you go to a news portal like smh.com.au then it'll have cookies from Fairfax. BUT - any ads appearing on the smh website may also have cookies. And while you may trust Fairfax and be happy to take their cookies, do you really trust their advertisers?
