That's a slimming plan jenny craig would be proud of: you would have to wait so long for a welsh interpreter that you would lose a lot of weight. Half a dozen visits to Centrelink and waiting for the interpreter - and you could be so slim they'd kick you off the disability pension and force you into a government job.

I don't know, but I'd like to think that we are less racist.

Then again how do we quantify it?

Is it by the amount of reportage some comments get in the media?

Has someone done a survey around the Globe and tallied up the number of racist remarks in each country then divided them by the total population of that country to reach a Mean Value per country??

How can we tell??

Fear of the unknown is in every country, small minded people will always hate that which is different. Aussies are no different, The multitudes in the burbs fear change. It is not that which really concerns me it is the nationalism that is getting hotter and hotter over the past 15 years. Australia day is coming, a time when you could get together with family and mates, watch the cricket and know how good it is to be an Aussie. Now we do this dopey wrapping ourselves in the flag and acting like complete morons running around embarrassing ourselves. Sad really that our self esteem has dropped so low.
