Do women feel offended being constantly reminded that they are second class citizens when the term 'mankind is used rather than 'humankind'?

If you do, can you join me in opposing the term 'mankind', anywhere you hear or read it.

Hey Greens .. hope this finds you well.

It's lovely to see you post again.

It's a pity that Pansi has seen fit to turn your harmless visual into something nasty though.

Hopefully the Mods will delete her offtopic and offensive rubbish (as they have done in the past).

Ok enough frivolity, I think I'll go and buy a blue chip property in Sydney for around the $3million mark and sell it for $2million next year.

Yet even more offtopic and passive-aggressive driven rubbish. You cannot post anything else these days.

Hopefully the Mods will delete your offtopic and offensive rubbish (as they have done in the past).

No not really...the taxonomical name for the human species is homo sapien...which is latin for 'wise man' or 'knowing man', as with all other taxonomical names, it isn't gender specific.....the classification Gorilla includes both male and female gorillas, the same with all the others as well....canine refers to both genders, as does equine, bovine etc etc...

The term 'mankind' never referred to the male gender, it was a term used to denote human beings.
Feminists in the 1960s attempted to rewrite history by inserting sexism into the term where none was originally intended.
Intellectual dishonesty at its highest.

This offense at the term really is ridiculous.

Feminists reinterpret the word to mean something other than its original meaning, then take offense to their own reinterpretation.

Brilliant!

What about the word 'woman'. Should we change that to 'wohuman'?

Or is 'man' safe and OK as long as found inside 'woman'?
