Given Tony Abbotts history of upper crust private schooling I wonder if he was a victim of fagging during his younger years.
That and being touched up by Catholic priests could go a long way to explaining why he's become a sociopath.

there is something depraved about this thread...and I am shocked to see who put it on the boards,...another twisted sicko....

I realize one needs an open mind in forums like this... but isnt there some form of sicko type forums out there for people of this ilk?..that find an appalling need to discuss something like this..

maybe FD needs to set up a councelling session to help those who have this type of thing on their minds..

I did report another thread I didnt think was suitable for a public forum but it was ignored..

so this time I thought I would put it out there and let the powers that be know that I do not think this is acceptable..I am no prude by any means but this is slanderous as well as sick..

Cods although the wording might appear crude - you've got to understand that people of all ages and backgrounds post on these forums and not everyone thinks the same.

someone on here [ I will not name them] suggested Abbott was in an incestuous relationship because he swam in the family pool with his teenage daughters..

some have put the rumour out there he is having an affair with a member of his staff..

its lousy and I for one will say so.. I will never ever defend someones right to come into a forum like this and spread filth just because they dont like someone politics..

that is so bad.. defend all you like mantra.. but dont tell me its a genuine point..unless you want to include the likes of Rudd who also happens to be Catholic..[when it suits him]

and anyone else who chooses to make spurious statements about gillard in the future.

You are twisting my words around Cods. I didn't say all - I said many and we all know that's true. People can speculate if they like about a politician - we all do that. Abbott could well have been a victim. Only a small portion of those who are sexually abused tell anyone or take criminal action against the perpetrator. The statistics are extremely high - 1 in 4 children that we know about are abused.

As far as badmouthing Abbott goes by some members - there has been just as much trash thrown at Gillard, if not more. It's definitely been more relentless.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the word "fagged". It simply means older students bullying younger students which mostly takes place in boarding schools.

Why is anyone outraged that we are discussing slavery within the elite schooling system?

Alan Jones was a notorious fagger. His room mates have told of the bullying and abuse that he heaped on them.

Fagging was a traditional educational practice in British boarding private schools (nearly all "public schools" in the English sense) and also many other boarding schools, whereby younger pupils were required to act as personal servants to the most senior boys. While domestic servants were common in family households, the custom reflected household task distribution and taught pupils about service from both ends of the relationship.

It means nothing of the sort. Also, it can only take place in a boarding school - and only amongst boarders. A day boy being either a fag or a fag master would be completely pointless.

It is not just bullying. You could be a fag and have a fag master who didn't bully you at all. The worst thing that ever happened to me was being hung by a rope by my feet out of a third storey window for about an hour.
At my school a boy (fag) prepared their masters clothes, shined shoes, made beds, gathered/picked up laundry and ran errands. In return you had most senior boy privileges and your master was there to handle any disputes you had with other juniors. The practice was unofficial, but condoned by the school. What it did was pass a lot of the responsibility for keeping discipline from the house masters onto the fag masters.

We knew it was known as fagging but the term was never used - it was simply a case of "boys" and "masters".
