What do Liberals stand for ??

What do Liberals stand for ??

The Liberals stand for:-

- No Vision for the future
- Luddite mentality
- keeping everyone in the dark and in the past
- Zero career prospects for people
- Low education standards
- Casualization of the work force with crap job prospects
- Making lame excuses to do nothing
- Free trade agreements decimating manufacturing and losing jobs
- Manufacture absolutely nothing and focus on digging crap out of the ground or planting seeds
- Set fire to coal mentality at any cost
- Destroy the environment without worrying about the consequences
- Do not promote excellence
- Worship rich corporations and keep the majority enslaved to them
- Dumb down the population and the media
- Sell off public assets and privatise everything and then charge the punters more for services
- A health care system based on the US health care system which murders its own citizens
- Waste tax payers money on useless sporting events and creating jobs for your own family members

as well as:

- The Liberals stand for the rights of the rich people to get richer.
- They stand for the exploitation of working class people in dingy unsafe factories.
- They believe in the "trickle down" effect where if you reward rich people the money will reach the poor as well.
- The Liberals stand for individual rights & not for the rights of society or a nation.
- The Liberals believe in a born to rule mentality.
- This means that if you are born poor then you shouldn't have the same rights to a top education or health care as a rich person.
- The Liberals believe in a shopkeeper mentality which came from Margaret Thatcher.
- A true Liberal always has a copy of one her books by his or her bedside

The current liberal government stands for a very tea-party style minimal government.

They will adopt a very conservative mode of operation and pare government responsibility back to the bare minimum. They think Australia is about "perfect", and therefore needs no tinkering or upkeep.

This is why they make refo's a big deal. (Dont want newcomers here), this is why they are against the NBN (Internet is just fine as it is), and dont want a carbon tax (we're fine just now, so dont worry about the future), and mining tax (worry about the bust later)

Unfortuntely this is a very short sighted position. They will run down education, infrastructure, and let the private sector run things. This has the effect of minimizing tax you pay to the government, but increasing living costs through "private tax" you need to pay for things you once got (private education, toll roads, etc ).

The end result is the people are no better off, but more likely to be worse off as the private investment is very targetted at profit profile. Some get, some miss out.

At least they stand for something. Can't say the same about Labor.

The problem with Labor is that they coulndn't manage a chook raffle in a pub.
They waste money - they can never manage money.
They always go into huge debt to try & win votes.

This is why I voted Green at the last election -
both major parties stand for nothing that's good & are only
power hungry psychopaths so the best
defense is to have a party holding the balance of power to try & control them.
