What's your source, Wesley?

evilnaziwhitepowerfarrightextremist.com.

Happy?

seriously though, if you look REAL closely you'll see that the source is stated as the centre for immigration studies.

It quoted that centre. Not saying?

Here's the study ya knob.

Thank you. Very good.

Your study looks at immigrants and illegal immigrants - not refugees. Australia has very few illegals - we don't have any land borders.

Illegal immigrants are not entitled to welfare benefits.

It is unofficial US policy to encourage illegal immigration. Businesses regularly advertise for cheap, unskilled labour in Mexico. George W Bush learned the benefits during his time as Texan governor. Not only do illegal Latino immigrants work cheap, but their kids vote. The welfare costs in the US, as your study shows, are bugger all: food stamps and Medicaid.

George W Bush declared an amnesty on illegal immigrants during his first term as president.

The "illegals" your study describes are not refugees. If they were refugees, they would apply and become "legal". The US does not have mandatory detention for refugees.

However, your point that refugees have, on average, higher long term unemployment than others is sound, but this varies between countries of origin. Here's some British research:

http://www.dol.govt.nz/publications/research/abltsr/section5_01.asp

In this country, unemployment rates would vary between Vietnamese, for example, and African refugees, but I can't find any Australian research on this.

Mind you, it's strange. Every article on your site is anti-immigration.

Funny, don't you think?

Why do you knuckleheads think that the only valid organisation is one that shares your phony baloney leftist views?  Painting it as 'anti-immigration' is dishonest, though I have come to expect that.

I see. So your research comes from a site with a purpose.

Some research seeks to find answers. Other research seeks to back up an agenda. You know the difference, but you're pretending everything is an ideological war. What has this got to do with "leftists"? - An Amerikan cold war term if I ever heard one.

Here's some of the "objective" research titles:

Upcoming Panel: Crime Challenges from Illegal Immigration

Built to Fail
Deception and Disorder in America’s Immigration Courts

Who Benefited from Job Growth In Texas?
A Look at Employment Gains for Immigrants and the Native-Born, 2007 to 2011

How Obama is Transforming America Through Immigration

From 'Wet Bottoms' to 'Children of Illegal Immigrants'

However, while this site shows your taste in websites, it is completely irrelevant to Australia. After all, we don't get wetbacks.

Instead, at this point in time, we get about 3000 boat arrivals a year, 90% of whom are found to be genuine refugees and granted asylum.

You have a valid argument, but you spoil it with ideological fervour.

Why don't you go back and see which post I posted that study in response to?

Go on.

It kinda makes your usual semantic pedantry (even more) redundant.

Oh, I have, dear. Alevine is correct. Illegal immigrants don't cost a cent in welfare benefits. How could they possibly apply?

Your study shows the US cost to the CHILDREN of illegal immigrants - those in the country legally because they were born there.

The cost: food stamps and Medicaid.

In Australia, refugees on bridging visas get the equivalent of the Newstart allowance and, in some cases, Medicare. There are also free English classes in the big cities.

They don't get Housing. They can apply once granted a permanent visa, and they then go on the waiting list behind everyone else. They don't get pensions. To get anything more than a few weeks of "special benefits", you need to have had a permanent visa for at least 3 years. Oh, and you need to have a disability or be old.

Are there problems with this? Sure. But I doubt anyone migrates with the intention of getting two hundred dollars a week for doing nothing. Effendes have much higher expectations. What they want is many hundreds of dollars a week for doing nothing.

To get this, you need to join the public service.

I see. Mexican wetbacks, food stamps and school lunch programs for their kids are inconvenient truths.

This is good thinkings, friend.

Taxpayers wear burden of 60,000 illegal immigrants

November 21, 2011

...

The biggest groups of illegals are Chinese, Americans, Malaysians, Britons and South Koreans, documents reveal
.

AUSTRALIA has enough illegal immigrants on the loose to populate a large regional city.

A Herald Sun investigation has found that nearly 60,000 people - one in every 390 - is in the country unlawfully, sparking renewed calls for a crackdown.

The 58,400 foreign citizens hiding illegally among us easily outnumber the populations of Mildura or Shepparton - Victoria's fifth and sixth biggest cities.

And they dwarf the 4700 legitimate asylum seekers who arrived by boat in 2010-11.

Documents released to the Herald Sun under Freedom of Information also reveal
the biggest groups of illegals are Chinese, Americans, Malaysians, Britons and South Koreans.

More than half have been here for five or more years; 20,000 for a decade or more; and two in three have evaded authorities for more than two years. (The figures do not include visitors who overstay visas by less than a fortnight.)

Time to round those spongers up and send them to Malaysia.

When we get rid of them, we can bring in more asylum seekers and refugees that appreciate our help.

What are the Immigration Department doing?

Nothing by the looks of it.

It's easy enough to find them.

Put undercover immigration agents at Tetley tea points of sale to catch the poms and at firearm outlets to catch the yanks.

The others can stay because they cook nice food and respect our laws and way of life.
