What IS illegal, however, is trying to come into Australia on a people smuggling boat with no documentation to identify yourself in the hope you may exhaust the legal system and be granted asylum. Australia has the right to protect its borders and to choose who it accepts across its borders. That cannot be done effectively if illegal immigrants destroy identity papers. How are we to know if a man requesting asylum is or is not a Taliban operative here to set up a "sleeper cell" with the intention of enacting a terrorist event?

If you were truthful in your answer IE. I want to claim asylum

The point is that arguing that arriving in a foreign country, unannounced, without permission or documentation is not illegal, is like arguing that black is white. If you can't even be honest about that, why expect anyone to listen to antyhing you have to say?

I've already said that if you arrive here without a visa and without a valid reason then yes, you are arriving illegally.

However, this is not the case, now is it?

No, because there actually IS a law against causing harm to others in such a manner. But, there is no law that says it is illegal to enter Australia to claim asylum. That's the point.

I think you are running out of excuses and motives as to why any parent in their right mind would risk the life of their child in an open sea voyage in a leaky rickety boat without a life vest verses going across land to find help

Ah, yeh it isn't hard to understand that when you're stuck between a rock and a hard place you make decisions - sometimes dangerous decisions - in an attempt to improve your life and the life of loved ones. That's called being human. If you don't understand that then I strongly encourage you to seek that registered psychiatrist for your own personal use and well-being improvement.

Denouncing the humanity of people who live in neighboring countries of Australia is called being an utter arrogant fool without any sense of what it means to be human themselves.

And can I add: the only people living off the backs of immigrants are those who are crying daily about Australia's immigration program. AKA: extremists such as yourself.

and with all respect, DNA wasn't trying to use that logic. He was simply showing that all the turkeys here trying to argue it is illegal to enter this country to claim asylum are complete nutters without any understanding of what they are talking about. And he's 100% correct.

As to pissing in the Queens face, apart from probably getting shot by her armed guards, you would be charged with a number of offenses.
The minor one being public indecency.(if there was a by- law covering this offense in what ever area you where in at the time)

The UN would have Australia so far under the thumb concerning refugees/asylum seekers that hey could come over here and kill a few Aussies and they would still be entitled to have their applications accessed. Its these scum-bag solicitors that chases these asylum seekers around living of them and squandering tax payers money on appeals that make if difficult. We need to change to law to stop these mongrels from entering our country via boat under the disguise of true genuine refugees/asylum seekers - then we would have no more problems. Every time we accept one of these cue jumpers another genuine refugee/asylum seeker else in a camp has to wait more years in hardship.
