Labor denies the science

Labor censors Dr Dennis Jensen — denies peer reviewed science

The Labor Party claim they think science is important:

”We can’t let this debate be waylaid by people who don’t accept the science,” Ms Gillard said in May.

Yet, when Dr Dennis Jensen  wanted to table peer reviewed papers on the Parliamentary record this week, Kate Ellis refused to allow it. Jensen is the only PhD scientist in the Australian Parliament and the papers are directly relevant to the policy under discussion.

The ALP will accept  an unaudited foreign committee report, whole, without question, but not scientific evidence from an elected Australian representative.  Who are the climate science deniers? Is it the same team that calls people mindless denigrating names

The papers that Labor won’t allow Dr Jensen to table:

LOL - this Government doesn't want to know.  They have their heads in the sand and those who are a bit claustrophobic are sitting there with fingers in ears (and eyes) going la-la-la-la-la as loud as they can.

When Group-think says the science is settled - it's settled and that's that.  They won't bother researching the truth.

But isnt the science 'settled'???

and this week we discover that Einstein's theory of relativity may not be totally accurate!! and that has been 'settled' for over 100 years.

i have been saying that forever... only it usually doesnt take that long for them to change their minds..lol..

as it is science goes right over my head... however I dont agree with if 95% of scientists agree......so we should ignore the 5% that dont..

if you check out the other side of the argument you usually find they have some substance..

in this case to me.. we are jumping in with the

FEAR FACTOR. and PANIC BUTTON PUSHERS..what a shame its really all distorted now, well for me anyway..

I can see merit in Taxing the mines more I really can.. we need to make as much as possible whilst the sun shines...

however to TAx it at the rate they are talking for the reasons they are talking I dont believe in.. sorry... how taxing something will change anything I dont know...taxing smokes doesnt stop people smoking..

education does that.

its the same with cleaning the place up as far as I know clean up Australia day hasnt stopped the amount of rubbish found.. but it will eventually..  we live in  hope..

Polluters should pay to pollute to encourage better and cleaner ways of doing things.
The carbon tax is just a simple way of making the polluters pay..who cares who believes what when it comes to the science as long as ALL polluters are paying.

Except that they already pay tax on their profits and their employees pay tax on their incomes .  The carbon tax is just another production expense to add to everything else.

What little the Govt gains in carbon tax revenue after pork barrelling will be lost in reduced income tax revenues from lost business and increased welfare expenses from increased unemployment.

Why threaten our jobs? Sad

All so Juliar & Rudd and Swan can feel good at parties. Angry

Paying to pollute is very different from paying the same taxes all businesses pay whether they produce pollution or not.
Why should future generations pay to clean up our out of control addiction for polluting?
Economists know the quickest and best way to change peoples bad habits is to hit them in the wallets and those that refuse to change only have themselves to blame not the govt, not the scientists and certainly not the previous or next generations of Aussies.
Burning carbon is polluting our atmosphere and wasting valuable fossil energy sources..its the height of stupidity

if they are going to keep on polluting... how is that saving the planet?????

it doesnt make sense all they will do is charge more for their products..

what good is it doing????..no logic at all.

Because it makes it cheaper to buy products and services from non pollutiing companies.
In the end the polluters are forced to change their ways simply by the financial pressures put on them.

how can you non pollute and turn out the same thing??..

I think that is all pie in the sky to be honest.how much carbon is created in producing an elkectric car... how much carbon is produced to make the power to run that car..and its batteries..are those batteries bio.deg?

I do know those windmills use an enormous amount of energy and water each and everyone of them..just to make them..

it all seem to bluff to talk about non polluters as if they dont cause any...I say thats impossible..

You keep saying that, but if it is environmentalism, then it should be about environmentalism, not CO2.

Labor will do anything to silence anyone who does not agree with their introduction of another new tax.
