Here are a couple of pluralistic societies

India
all native cultures
pre christian Europe and Rome

ect ect - no religion has fought harder against enlightened Pluralism than fundamentalist Christianity - the Sufi's in thge Islamic world are light years more advanced than right wing fundamentalist Christianity. To the extent Christianity has been liberalized it is through the workings of more advanced enlightened thinking.
