*Sure....they're anti competitive as any subsidised job is.  It wouldn't be there without the tax payer.  Very damned difficult for a brainwashed collectivist to understand that I know....  (swaggy) *

That would be something for you to tell me when you make your point.

Values represent the entire area of ice covered water bodies over the entire Northern Hemisphere and are calculated in Lambert Azimuthal Equal Area Projection with a WGS84 Datum. The daily total ice extents are calculated from a 3-day running mean to eliminate daily variability and provide a clear trend line
http://www.natice.noaa.gov/ims/ims_ice_extent_explanation.html

And the graph shows that for Aug 2012 the ice extent is the lowest ever recorded for the corresponding time of year.  THis seems pretty consistent with the observed fact that arctic sea ice melt has just reached its highest extent ever recorded

Perhaps you could tell us what your point is?

What do you mean "no record"? The sea ice graph shows exactly that, a record low, with a month still to go in the melt season. It's funny but not surprising that a denier can't read a graph. Certainly goes a long way to explaining why you believe the ridiculous conspiracy theories that you do.

I'd imagine he has picked a graph from WUWT that looks like it suits his purpose and posts it thinking that IMS is some independent data source that contradicts the alarmist narrative - when in fact IMS is just a measuring instrument on a a satellite operated by NOAA, the people responsible for all the other graphs in this thread. The idiocy is compounded by the fact that he clearly can't read a graph if he thinks it doesn't show a record low.

And what do you know it's a record high as well at the other end in March...it's called variability.

Yes.  Extreme variability.  It's called climate change due to anthropogenic global warming.

Crap...it's been hotter in the past and much colder in the past...the world was not designed for our comfort.

And I suppose you believe that it's gotten hotter/colder by magic, right? Or maybe you have an alternative explanation that explains all of the observed phenomenon relating to the changing climate including the rapid and otherwise inexplicable late 20th century warming?
