Police question right-wing extremists

Paul Ray, a British right-wing extremist who now lives in Malta, landed at Oslo’s main airport at Gardermoen on Wednesday where he was met by Norwegian police for questioning. They want to talk to him, and others in extreme right circles, about alleged ties to the bomber and gunman who killed 77 persons in Norway last month.

...

Confessed terrorist Anders Behring Breivik referred to Ray as his mentor in the so-called “manifesto” he released just before he attacked Norway’s government headquarters and a Labour Party summer camp on July 22.

Ray, however, has denied any connection to Breivik and has condemned Breivik’s mass murder. “That’s why I’m here in Norway now,” Ray told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) in the arrivals hall at the airport. He wants to “clear his name.”

He claimed he has never met Breivik and never had anything to do with him, although Breivik wrote that they met at the founding meeting of a military group in London called Knights Templar in 2002. Ray told The Guardian newspaper several weeks ago that he is a member of an anti-Muslim group called The Ancient Order of the Templar Knights, but denies meeting Breivik and claimed he was “horrified” by the killings in Norway.

Ray repeated his denials to NRK but suggested that others may try to copy Breivik’s attacks. “I’m just speaking logically,” Ray said on NRK’s nightly national newscast Dagsrevyen. Asked whether such attacks could occur again, he said “of course, just based on how bad things are now.” Asked to elaborate, Ray hesitated and said he didn’t want to get into a discussion of his political beliefs.

‘Interesting’
Ray, who often uses the name Lionheart, pointed to the so-called Fjordman, another right-wing Norwegian blogger, as Breivik’s probable mentor. “Just read his stuff,” Ray said. “He’s Norwegian.”

He said he was certain he’d be cleared by the police, who were expected to continue questioning Ray on Thursday. Prosecutor Christian Hatlo said that if Ray hadn’t traveled voluntarily to Norway, investigators would have tracked him down for questioning.

“Paul Ray is an interesting person because Anders Behring Breivik says he is his mentor,” said Hatlo, who also said police have questioned others in “several countries” in connection with the July 22 terrorist attacks. The Oslo police are also receiving help from colleagues abroad in their search for international contacts of Breivik, who remains in full isolation at Ila Prison.

Newspaper Aftenposten reported Thursday that Norway’s police intelligence unit PST also was devoting more attention to right-wing extremists and monitoring their online activity. “We see the importance of gathering information about what’s going on, on the websites in question,” Tore Risberget of PST told Aftenposten. “It’s a challenge, and it’s become a priority.”

Double standards in the West towards terrorism cases

...
Ivan Eland.

When we talk about al-Qaeda, we are talking about, excuse me, Islamic terrorists and high-light religion in this aspect. But when it comes to someone who is of the Christian faith that’s downplayed. I think it’s a sort of double standard that we focus on religion in the case of al-Qaeda but not in the case of somebody like Breivik in Norway. — Ivan Eland, Senior Fellow and Director of the Center on Peace and Liberty at the Independent Institute in the US.

Interview with Ivan Eland, Senior Fellow and Director of the Center on Peace and Liberty at the Independent Institute in the US.

Recently you wrote an article on double standards in the West towards terrorism cases. Can you fill our listeners in on exactly what you mean?

Think of the Norway case, the way western media was talking about it. First it was the New York Times – I think it’s the leader in the western media – that called him a Christian extremist. Then they started calling him an anti-immigrant or anti-Islamic extremist, dropping the ‘Christian’ part out of it. This was a change but most of the media have called him an anti-immigrant terrorist. And, of course, when we talk about al-Qaeda, we are talking about, excuse me, Islamic terrorists and high-lighten religion in one aspect. But when it comes to someone who is of the Christian faith that’s downplayed. I really think that we should downplay religion in both Islamic and Christian cases, because a vast majority of people from these religions are not radical and do not commit terrorist acts. But I think it’s a sort of double standard that we focus on religion in the case of al-Qaeda but not in the case of somebody like Breivik in Norway.

Why can’t the world community agree on a concrete definition of a terrorist and terrorism?

A lot of this has problems in the western community. Surprisingly, it would seem that a simple definition would be ‘killing civilians to instill fear in civilians to get them to change the policy of their government’. And that’s a very simple, straightforward-working definition that many in the west, in the academic circles, can’t adopt because the fire bombings of Japan and Germany and atomic bombings of Japan and Germany would then be called terror bombings. But, of course, they are not regarded as terrorist acts. Government actions, not only of the US, but many other governments over the centuries have committed much more crimes against innocent civilians than smaller groups. It’s not an excuse to smaller groups like al-Qaeda or other Islamic or non-Islamic terrorist groups but it’s certainly adds perspective. And I think one of the reasons why western governments can’t agree on a definition is that it might implicate their own government for having used terrorist acts before.

You liken Hiroshima and Nagasaki to terrorist acts?

I think they were terrorist acts. But the problem is that we don’t consider that governments do terrorism. We only consider what little groups do nowadays. And certainly little groups can commit big crimes on occasion but usually they don’t. We see hundreds of thousands of people killed in fire bombings, in atomic bombings during World War II. Other governments have done the same to other people. So, governments kill on a mass scale – and this, not to mention the US government, but there have been many other instances of government killing on a mass scale. And government can kill on a mass scale – they have more resources than little groups. But, of course, the origin of the terms “terrorism” comes from governmental terrorism, but it’s now only used to describe ragtag groups, which actually don’t kill that many people. I mean since 9/11 17 Americans have been killed in terrorism...As we see in the Oslo case, it’s not confined to people of Islamic faith.

Back to the Oslo case, Breivik was driven by Islamophobia. What’s your take on 9/11, on the western media promoting this point of view?

I think they have and I think the mainstream media does it indirectly by focusing on terminology like, as I’ve mentioned, al-Qaeda as an Islamic group. But if somebody else does that in something like abortion clinics or in this massacre in Oslo, they tend to focus on medicine or anti-immigrant terrorism, not Christian terrorism. They don’t call it Christian terrorism. We have a double standard there and I think we focus on that despite that mainstream media does it indirectly. But, of course, some commentators put more blame when they say Islam is a violent religion. Islam is not more a violent religion than any other religion. There are some violent passages in the Quran and there are some violent passages in the Old Testimony as well as in the New Testimony...

Article Cont'd

Some of the tactics of right-wing groups and some of the right-wing media is trying to provoke reactions from Muslims and from the Islamic community. Do you agree with that?

Yes, I think it’s definitely true. I suppose that’s what the Soviet Union was, some sort of an enemy. So, they need Islam, they’ve converted Islam into a new threat. And, of course, the reason that al-Qaeda attacked the US has very little to do with religion, rather it is mainly revenge or a protest against US occupation of Muslim lands. I have no doubt about that. And these phenomena have hit other countries that occupy Islamic land as well, like for instance Israel in Palestine. I think it’s really more of an anti-meddling or anti-occupation rather than a religious theme.

So, you say that for some people its profitable or they need an enemy, and if they can provoke a reaction then they have what they want?

Yes, and I think there is a lot of racism involved in it as well. They don’t like immigrants, particularly Islamic immigrants who come from North Africa. They have a darker skin color than a normal European, or at least a Western European. And so there has been a lot of racism. I think it’s associated with anti-immigration and right-wing parties in Europe play on that.

Three Terrorist Attacks I Worry About the Most: Jeffrey Goldberg

Yehuda Etzion, a former member of a Jewish terrorist group in the West Bank, once drove me to the top of the Mount of Olives, to a ridge above the Garden of Gethsemane, and asked me to look out across the valley, to the Temple Mount on the far side.

Shimmering in the sunlight was the Dome of the Rock, one of the world’s most important Muslim shrines. I said that the Dome was beautiful. Etzion answered that he didn’t even see it.

I asked him what he meant. “Look, maybe it’s beautiful,” he said.“But my father told me once that there are very many nice women in the world, beautiful women, but you have only one wife. This building is not my woman. It’s my enemy’s woman. So I don’t see it.”

I asked him what he saw instead. “I see the place where the Temple will stand.”

The Temple in question is the yet-unbuilt Third Temple, which certain Jews of a messianic bent believe should be built atop the Mount (site of the first two Jewish Temples), in place of the Dome of the Rock. But how to remove the Dome? Etzion and his fellow extremists once plotted to blow it up. The Israeli internal security service, the Shabak, caught them and sent them to jail before any damage could be done. Etzion told me he didn’t regret the plot, only that it didn’t work.

It could still work, however. There are still Jewish extremists roaming the Old City of Jerusalem, and some West Bank Jewish settlements are still home to men who believe they could hasten the coming of the messiah by igniting a cataclysmic war with Islam. I’ve met these men -- rabbis among them -- and they believe that God would save Israel if the Muslim world rose up in anger at the destruction of what one rabbi called “the abomination.”

They are right about one thing: The Muslim world would ignite if the Dome were attacked.

Clash of Civilizations

The terrorist who imagines himself to be not merely an agent of the aggrieved, but the salvation of his civilization -- these are the ones to fear. Anders Behring Breivik, who killed 77 people July 22 in Norway because he believed Europe was under threat from Islam and multiculturalism, is the new archetype.

The ambitious terrorist of this moment in history seeks not simply to kill large numbers of innocent people, or to terrify an even greater number of people. He seeks nothing less than to provoke the thing we have so far mainly been able to avoid: a clash of civilizations.

Three attacks, in particular, I worry could have such world- changing effects. A plot against the Dome of the Rock is one.

Another would be an attack inside the U.S. of the kind that just took place in Norway -- an assault by a white, Christian extremist agitated by the imagined specter of worldwide Muslim domination, either against a government target, in the Oklahoma City and Oslo manner, or against a Muslim target.

Febrile Minds

A deadly attack prompted by anxiety about the building of mosques, for instance, would do irreparable harm to America’s image as a diverse and welcoming refuge, and could trigger the clash of civilizations extremists (both anti-Muslim Americans and anti-American Muslims) so desperately seek.

Is this a possibility? Spend time on websites devoted to stopping the coming invasion of the American court system by Muslim law -- an invasion that exists only in the febrile minds of anti-Muslim agitators -- or visit the sites devoted to keeping mosques out of places like Murfreesboro, Tennessee. It’s not hard to imagine that an unstable person with access to explosives would try to carry these campaigns to their logical conclusions...

...In Israel, the Shabak takes the threat of Jewish extremism quite seriously. But once again, lone wolves or small, self- radicalized cells are difficult to stop. And the target is exposed.

A few months ago, I visited a building in the Muslim Quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City owned by a radical yeshiva. A friend, sympathetic to my worry, took me to the roof, up a series of dark, winding staircases. We came out into the sunlight. There, seemingly close enough to touch, was the golden dome.

“One rocket, fired from right here,” my friend said. He didn’t have to complete the sentence.

Every time a Muslim terrorists is caught or carries out a murder in the name of ... er.. Islam, invariably shouting Allahu Akhbar, the enabler and arsecoverers like you always insist that Islamic terrorism has nuffin to do wiv Islam. Every muslim suicide bomber confirm with their last breath that it is ALL about Islam - but you can be trusted only to come up with some lame-o article saying that the West should be more self-critical.

I want to see some muslim think tank guy telling the bearded monsters that what they are doing is not on.

But of course they wouldn't dare - they would be murdered by bearded monsters, shouting- what else? - Allahu Akhbar.

Obviously you have not read the book which says of the infidels:

"...So if they withdraw from you, and fight not against you, and offer you peace, then God has opened no way for you (to fight) against them."(The Quran, an-Nisaa, verse 90)

"And fight in the Way of God those who fight you, but transgress not the limits (of warfare). Truly, God likes not the transgressors... And fight them until there is no more tribulation. But if they cease fighting, let there be no transgression (of the ceasfire) except against oppressors. (The Quran, al-Baqarah, 190-193)

"But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in God: for He is One that heareth and knoweth (all things).  (The Quran, al-Anfal, 61)"

God does not forbid you from showing kindness and dealing justly with those who have not fought you about religion and have not driven you out of your homes. God loves just dealers.  (The Quran, Al-Mumtahinah, 8)

Now, let see what the Bible says:

"Now kill all the boys [innocent kids]. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man. (Numbers 31:17-18)"

However, in the cities of the nations the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes.(Deuteronomy 20:16)

3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. (1 Samuel 15:3)

Double standards Blatant LYING is going on in the West towards terrorism cases

ATTENTION;
Anders Breivik himself declared that he is NOT a Christian, but that he holds secular views, and opposes a renewal of a traditional Christian values in Europe.

Scapegoating the anti-jihadists

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2011/08/scapegoating-the-anti-jihadists.html
Quote:

........The New York Times, which unswervingly refers to Islamist atrocities as isolated incidents by crazed loners......The day after the tragedy, its headline ran: "Norway Charges
Christian
Extremist."

Breivik is nothing of the sort. In his rambling 1,500-page manifesto, "2083: A European Declaration of Independence," Breivik explains that he is not a Bible-believing Christian. "Christian fundamentalist theocracy" is "everything we DO NOT want," he wrote. A "secular European society" is "what we DO want."

It was not only the Times that so much wanted Breivik to be an agent of the Cross and an exemplar of the hated right. Using classic defamatory technique, European and American media raced to blame the entire anti-jihadist movement for murder by association, with the goal of setting the legitimate concerns many ordinary people have with radical Islamists beyond the pale of civilized discourse.

Slandering those who criticise ISLAMISTS and ISLAM,

.....in the wake of the Norway outrage, we see just another attempt [by LEFTISTS and so-called 'LIBERALS'] to pass off BLATANT LIES, as facts.

Falsely calling, or portraying the critics of ISLAMIST fascism 'racists' or 'bigots', isn't it just getting old ?

And why do the LEFTISTS and so-called 'LIBERALS' absolutely refuse to address the issue, of the fascist politics of ISLAM ???

Google;

"If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah), never will it be accepted of him;...."

hadithsunnah/bukhari #004.052.196

"Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. "
Koran 9.29

"....take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends....
......he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them."

Koran 5.51

A.
Because the LEFTISTS and so-called 'LIBERALS' refuse to address any truth, when that truth does not conform with, and align with, their own 'sacrosanct' worldview.

Dictionary;
sacrosanct = = regarded as too important or valuable to be interfered with.

falah,

You are a deceitful person.

You are a moslem.

BEWARE;
Moslems always engage in deceit and sophistry, when describing ISLAM to non-moslems [....those non-moslems who are not YET within their political control].

Dictionary;
sophistry = = the use of fallacious arguments, especially to deceive.

If a moslem told me that, that bright thing in the sky was the sun,
....i would seek a second opinion.

Moslems, and the Koran, often use 'WEASEL WORDS'.

'Peace' does NOT mean the peace which you understand.

Moslems, deceitfully, do not reveal that the only definition of 'peace' which moslems accept, is;

"Peace, is submission to Allah's will."

Moslems, and the Koran, often use 'WEASEL WORDS'.

'Oppression' is when people live without Sharia law.

So if you object to the oppression [upon yourself, as a non-moslem] of Sharia law, YOU will be deemed to be an OPPRESSOR of moslems!

And, if you are within [under] their power, the moslems will kill you, for 'insulting' their 'religion'.

ISLAM is a political philosophy which promotes the use of deception, blatant lying, intimidation and extreme violence to further its own spread and influence.

ISLAM is fascism, pure and simple.

And people who appease ISLAM, and moslems, are supporters of fascism.
