I really am surprised at times at the amount of name calling that goes on in this forum. By comparison, all the posts with their inevitable winking or laughing smilies an "LOL" (compensation for a limited vocabulary, perhaps?) are just a minor irritation.
I've always found joking about dementia to be particularly distasteful. Thankfully not too many have done it - a quick search only brought up posts by skippy, kingofthecastle, Sprintcyclist and whatsforme. Anyone who has had a family member with it wouldn't joke about it - not if they were a normal human being anyway. My grandfather had it for the last three or so years of his life - I'm still not sure if he recognised who I was the last time I saw him....
You're free to leave at any time, no one is making you stay here, it
is very annoying when a newb turns up and tries to change a forum.
so you can be free to call anyone that disagrees with you vile spiteful names... good one..
you could try apologising sometimes skippy it would go a long way, I am almost sure you are not as spiteful and mean as you come across...however to attack someone for sticking up for someone who has dementia.. it more than spiteful and what this thread is all about..
take a good look at it skippy its about YOU and you do yourself no favours..
you are mean about people being old. and having mental illness as if it will never come by your door... have I got news for you!!!!
skippy its that long since I have seen you debate anything I am begining to wonder if you ever have.. its all about abuse.the nastier the better
