Taking an economic policy to an election isn't action? It sure as poo isn't just rhetoric! Or are you saying that you KNOW Abbott can't believed for a second and that Direct Action is such an incredulous and inherently anti-Liberal policy that it would have been quietly shelved after the election? That it is not a real policy but rather a shameless and cynical political ploy?

What actions? You mean supporting MARKET mechanism to reduce emissions over Abbott's decidedly communistic command-and-control "direct action" economic policy? You know who has had great success using command-and-control mechanism to reduce emissions, China, and I BET you could find some Chinese economists who think Direct Action is a great policy, they might even take inspiration from it and take it to the Comintern to consider. In the Free World though, the economic consensus is clear, pricing carbon ont he market is by far the cheapest and most efficient way of reducing emissions.

So what actions were you talking about?

They can support a market mechanism for a carbon tax all they like, but we are not going to cooperate with their market mechanism and emissions trading scheme by competing for jobs, food scraps or anything else. If the state can not offer a stable economy, stable, secure and safe employment then you are on your own. we are under no obligation to compete and fight for work - only to work if it is made available. If its not, then up yours - we are not competing and thats it.

So, to those of you who appear to be concerned about ' anarchy', what say you about Abbott's very public rallying calls for his so-called "people's revolt" - and inciting businesses to fund anti-Govt advertising - and his subsequent speeches at the resulting rallies and meetings!?

Oh, and we should not forget the central (albeit lacklustre) role of Menzies House, in inciting people to attend Abbott's rallies...
