In part very true.  It really is sad to see such mongrels who seriously have no understanding of short term vs medium term vs long term.

I'd have to say also that I think the Rudd Factor of complexing the selling strategy and the message is still present in the government. And that's what i don't get: you'd think after the ETS debacle, where NOONE understood what it was, and the Mining Tax, you'd think they could have worked it out?

Say that again. We want to hear that lie louder. As for them being left, they dont have to be left, the left is coming to them.

You dull, I won't be presenting you the links again. Once more, there is no point EVER proving anything to anyone not interested.  All I'll say is they have their policies and you can sit there and subscribe to Jonesy all you want, you dull.

Oh, and China has been moving to the right spectrum for quite some time, with no evidence what so ever that the next big socialist agenda will take over. I'd love to see you show some evidence. Or was that just another pointless statement about nothing; something you seem to enjoy doing over and over again?

So Dullard is not trying to sell a carbon tax now?

Jason, before sitting there talking about who is intelligent and who isn't, I'd strongly encourage you to check yourself out first.

Point 1:
Majority of People believe Man-Made Climate Change is real.

Point 2:
Majority of People are against the carbon tax.

Do you understand how the two don't correlate? Your poll was completely meaningless in what you were trying to debate.

IN part I agree: this government is incompetent in selling its messages. I'm asking why.  But thanks for repeating the same thing over and over again, trolly.

LOL, SMH...hilarious
http://www.dailymercury.com.au/story/2011/06/06/poll-carbon-tax-rally/
...reveals 58 per cent are opposed to the tax, with just 28 per cent in favour.

The point exactly - ppl know man made climate change is real, but oppose the tax.

Yes, because ppl who can think, realise that (whether or not AGW is real ) the tax won't affect it...and is solely a revenue raising idea..

I agree that the Carbon Tax is a Tax Revenue raiser and it will not fix the Climate Change issue.

However, that does not detract from the fact that the Climate Change issue is in desperate need of fixing!

Then isn't it smarter to do something that WILL actually address that problem (like money for R&D and incentives for green energy) instead of wasting time on hollow rhetoric, 'feel good' cosmetic ideas and name calling???

Most proponents of AGW seem to spend more time abusing sceptics than they do suggesting usable, real world alternatives..

It's all very well to campaign for the closing of 'fossil fuel' power and industry....BUT, until there is a viable AND affordable alternative, it's a pointless exercise..

I tend to have to agree.
The only problem is, there is no point dumping a bad government for a worse one.

That the majority of people are against carbon tax correlates perfectly to your OP in that the govt is trying to sell a carbon tax. That you are too busy trying to prove a point you have invented rather than pay attention is your problem and hence your intelligence is now called into question (as if it wasn't beforehand)

The muppets could show up this govt.

The libs would piss all over this govt for competence and ability.

And the interesting part being that while this government is seen as incompetent and bad, Abbott's approval rating is still negative, and very close to Gillards. What does that say?

You nuff, go check for what purpose you were attempting to post this poll.

In any case, thanks for posting something that everyone in this thread agrees on and that didn't require any further proof. Grin

It says only idiots pay attention to leader ratings. Here's a challenge for your limited intellect, check out the TPP and see what that tells you
