That chart doesn't have the resolution to SEE anything from 330 years ago, numb nuts. Look at the bottom of the bottom of the graph it says THOUSANDS OF YEARS. 330 THOUSAND YEARS, you freaking eejit Roll Eyes

Well, the charts you referred to DIDN't show a "pre-industrial" carbon level peak, about 330 years ago.
It actually showed a "pre-human" Carbon Peak, ABOUT 330,000 YEARS AGO!!!

And, the 10C Temperature variation, from trough to Peak, that you infer was insignificant, was HUGE, when you consider they were referring to the Global Annual Average temperature, which is about 14C.

The 10C they refer to, is not YOUR usual description of the variation between the daily minimum & maximum, IT TAKES IN ALL SEASONS, DAY & NIGHT, FROM THE EQUATOR TO BOTH POLES!!!

It was the end of an ice age - the orbital change that triggers a slight increase in temperature, which in turn triggers a release of methan and carbon dioxide, which amplifies the warming - that's what caused it. Even then it never go higher than 300 p.p.m but that graph doesn't show CURRENT levels which are at 390 p.p.m - ie. another FOUR STEPS on that graph higher than the highest they've been in over a million years. Human activity has taken CO2 levels 40% HIGHER than they have been in A MILLION YEARS.

Obviously, you are referring to Gillard and the Labor governments Carbon Tax.

Neither Gillard, nor the Labor party, are much better than Abbott-a-bad & the Liberal CONServatives, as I have said many times. Gillard is certainly no messiah of mine, but nor is Abbott-a-bad!

And, as far as the Carbon Tax is concerned, I have also said many times, that the Carbon Tax is primarily a TAX Revenue raiser, it will not solve or even remotely address the Climate issue, unless the Tax was horrendously greater than anything currently mooted and if it was that large, it would destroy the OZ Economy completely.

There are other ways to address the Climate issues and that must start to happen soon!
