Hey Grey, what's happening with the old yahoo site? I just went there and it was kinda creepy. All the lights were on but no-one was around, There was dust everywhere and I found myself tip-toeing away. There are still 40 something members registered but absolutely no activity. A handful of people have returned to HYS and some have shown up here, but what happened to all the others? And Para/Joy is uncharacteristically quiet...  Just curious.

I've popped in once in a while but it's usually people talking about cats.
This one works okay... though I think we should really promote some ABC discussion or it will fade away too.

So... ABC discussion. I've already espoused about the horror that was Moby Dick. Must say I'm imprerssed with the ABC breakfast show alternative. But what's with the guy with the permanent deeply concerned scowl? You'd think he was watching live footage of his mother being hit by a tram.

Four Corners was good this week. Have to ask why they haven't shown similar reporting over the last ten years.

Dang it,  I just don't seem to have been watching anything else on ABC.... So anyway, tell me. How are the moderators [may a thousand fire ants infest their incontinence pads] treating y'all these days?

HYS is very ill, went there earlier Mod came on the Q&A thread to say talk about it on the Q&A board. Para has found a forum for RW old foggies though she's still posting in the main forum here I think. This site suits me, I might drop theURL in HYS on the weekend. I enjoy talking ABC stuff and the comfort of the club, but I like to mix it in the rough house too Smiley

There never is very many active people on forums Mickey,  see for yourself by clicking on 'members' here you can see the stats.

Well EQ  -  it is true -  a virtual wasteland.  I've looked off and on over the last month or so, sad, and same for HYS.

But good on u Grey, you got me interested in this sort o' thing, and I'm quite enjoying it.

Cheers Smiley

I get the yahoo group mail on digest and wondered why I hadn't been getting anything.  I haven't been watching much on ABC, didn't watch Angry Boys (not being a huge C Lilley fan) and Hungry Beast clashes with something else.  All I've really been watching of late is the news and Spicks & Specs, so I'm not getting much for my 8c a day  Smiley.  Settled in to watch my favourite night's viewing on one of the digital channels last night and slept almost right through the lot of 'em  Sad.

Just edited this to say I do actually watch Spooks and QI but invariably snooze through QI for some reason.  And Minuscule is good, Grand Designs Revisited would be good too if they hadn't Revisited it quite so recently....

G'day dogged and welcome, I guess I should put out a notice to make sure people know where we are now.

Yep I feel the same way about Lilley and I've taken to watching most things on Iview when it suits me. There's some good stuff goes out on ABC2, 'Misfits' which is designed for a younger audience I think but which I thoroughly enjoyed has finished its season but I'd guess it will show up again on ABC1 very subversive Smiley

re Lilley: I abhorred Summerheights but week one of A'Boys was fine. The language seems way over the top; almost as if the show(s) is little more than a platform for the Chris to overindulge himself. The lad must have some serious issues, must gave gone t oparochial school. But what the heck, I love the boys from Dent.

Watched a couple of things on ABC2 last night, or attempted to.  Dropped off in the second one.  It's not that the TV programmes aren't interesting, it's just my middle-agedness seems to be manifesting itself in the ability to nod off without warning any time after 8pm  Smiley.

Well, that will teach me for not checking email a/c for a while!   Grin

I'll set myself a task to learn the ropes and then, hopefully, be a more useful member.

It certainly is, Grey.  I really dislike the Yahoo format which is probably the reason I lost interest a bit.

Thank you for the head-up email re. this board.

Oh I wake up late enough that I'm way past my bedtime and then I suffer sleep deprivation so nod off the next night as well  Smiley.  Nope, I don't watch films except maybe once in a blue moon if it's supposed to be really good.  I'm invariably disappointed  Smiley.
