Durham County

This this one of the most gripping albeit disturbing TV dramas I have ever watched - and yet I've only recently discovered it...

Tonight's episode is starting here now...on ABC1...

Your watching the second story Equist, I watched the first. I enjoy 'Waking the dead' and the gristle of 'Silent Witness' I found amusing, I got a good larf when somebodies face got shoved into a deep fryer on 'Spooks' one time; but I resolved not to watch Durham County again, man that shows DARK  Grin

Yup, Durham County is dark - but rivetting nonetheless!

As for Spooks, that deep fryer episode was the first one I ever watched - it has haunted me ever since.  Thankfully, no subsequent episode I have viewed has ever been so unexpectedly gruesome and evil!

Do you know what the twisted evil sodding bad guy did in the first story? I'll tell you, do you want me to tell you? Even the telling may live in your head longer than the chip fryer Grin

Have at look at Mrs Browns Boys on this forum Smiley

Okay having skipped the second series I gave in and I've just watched the first two episodes of the third. I hold you Equist personally responsible for what this violence porn has done to my psyche. Not suitable for under 15's? poo I hope the writer is (A) Being investigated and (B) Getting counselling. smacking evil.

LOL Grey!   Smiley

I tried (again) to watch it last night.  Either I am going deaf or the audio, generally, is very poor.  I have trouble keeping up with the dialogue and miss quite a bit of it.   Last night, the scene (after the Morgue scene) with the Latino woman almost drove me to drink.  I could not for the life of me hear one word that came out of her mouth.  Yes, I know about volume pluses and minuses.  I don't want to attract my neighbour's attention!

Other than that little complaint, it certainly is a weird show!

Err...ummnnn....it would seem that even Murphy inhabits brethren households of Durham County...

For various reasons, I've only caught snippets of the latest series...

Alas!  I missed the whole of the last two episodes - the latter on account of a child (and parent) recovering from both unexpected and predictable post-surgical complications, which rendered me hospital-bound for one night and then a tad pre-occupied in walking-dead state the following two...

Hoping to catch iview by week's end...

Cheers, Grey - things are going better than expected post-operatively. We even managed to make a family day trip to the Supernova thingy at Homebush today...

As for Durham County - didn't manage to watch on IView - and would you believe that we had an interruption in our household power supply last night mid-program...which lasted beyond the end of it!?!?!?
