Will the de facto Prime Minister Bob brown sign off on this ??? OR WILL HE BACK OFF FROM IDEOLOGY AND ALLOW LABOR TO GO AHEAD WITH THIS ????
Im sure his worried about the polls against Labor and favouring the opposition.
VERY INTERESTING.
what amazes me most is these critics never come up with an answer, a fair answer, do they?... what do they mean by compassionate??? what does it mean in real terms?.. spell it out... what do they expect thegovt.. meaning us, to do exactly.. how much is enough for instance?
I mean what is it now over 6000 in 3 years...so do we find them all homes find them all jobs.see that they have free english classes??
spell it all out for us.. please..
you see I have a family member who has a house to rent down the coast and they have been asked [ by imigration] to take a refugee family of Iraqi as a tenant. they came here 3 weeks ago by the right way,,they have two sons..
now the govt is going to pay their bond and their rent..the parents are on job search..boys on Oz study.. they have a lot of help from a family member and the Refugee group. the house is empty so will need furnishing, all with our help I am sure..
now this is just one family..
now when do we call a halt to all this..we appear to be a rich country... I suggest we appear to have a decent credit rating..thats all.
when we have to call for a levy to fund a crisis in Qld one has to wonder...
yet we seem to have a veritable horn of plenty when it comes to refugee/asylum seekers
and these critics seem to me to be saying lets open the doors to the floods.. and let the tax payer end up carrying the load.
who cares if it breaks our backs?..
