Amadd .. read the above post carefully .. then read what the Mods and I have been advising you.

You will notice a few interesting things/anomalies.

You have been incredibly abusive to Amadd. I have seen a few posts from him where he's responded defensively after one of your condescending and insulting posts to him and then he's thought better of it and modified it. After the treatment you've dished out to him - do you really believe you're in a position to offer advice?

I hope he tells you what to do with it - and not politely.

The really funny thing is this....Amadd made the first two posts....you made the third and fourth, and ever since Amadd has not been seen in the Thread.

Fact, wot?

Cheesy

Muso and Mod have basically stated what I have been stating in here.

That alone tells the story.

.....and/or on the other hand, Amadd...........this Forum is hardly the place to seek advice worthy of listening to.  If you are fair dinkum, go and see a professional.

THANK YOU! THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO SAY!!!!

In fact .. Muso our Global Mod also stated the same thing!

All good, then Lisa.  Now, let's allow Amadd to make his choice.  It is really up to him if he wants to be advised by amateurs.

So, I reckon I have said all I can in my little corner of this World tonight.  Let's hope peace breaks out overnight, wot?

No - but I try to share some of my experiences with people who are unhappy and I certainly wouldn't have the audacity to tell anyone to go and get professional help. I understood where he was coming from as did others who also contributed.

Yes - so what. Perhaps that's all he needed to say. Maybe he's left this forum for good - he was insulted enough.

Go hunt for them Aussie - they've been in a variety of threads in Spirituality, Secret Womens Business, Chat and this forum. Others would have seen them - but you were probably too busy deleting threads on PA to notice them, not that you would bother reading much of what goes on in here anyway.

I need to admit to it.

My parents seperated/ divorced when I was 12 yrs of age and I never really got over that.

I was on the cusp of puberty and I had bigger things on my mind than my parents deserting my forwarding needs.
As so happened, I come across a very sticky situation at 12 yrs of age where I had to identify a shooter who put another guy in a wheelchair for life.

My mother was totally ignorant of my situation 'cause she was way too busy smacking that other dude who split our family.

After all of of the court cases..all the way to the supreme court, the shooter got off 'cause of lack of evidence.
I was left to watch him watching me almost every other day.

I kept a rifle on my lap for at least two years, I listened intently for every sound..I rarely slept properly. My faith was in my faithful dog.

Since then, I have travelled the world and enjoyed myself ..it's nice to not have a worry.

Upon getting back from my travels, I developed a nice relationship with my grandmother who also enjoyed travelling and sharing experiences.
Then my mother buts in and insists on cleaning my floor and doing stuff that is a bit personally insulting.

She wasn't around when I was holding a gun on my lap...she was no use to me then.

I don't really want her around so much...she should get over it. It's not my prob.

I sense resentment from you and guilt from her... both of which are perfectly understandable and normal given the circumstances.

You seem to have a good relationship with your Grandmother... if she is a reasonable woman with empathy... talk to her about your struggles to come to terms with your mother's mistakes.

I think that what you are experiencing is very common in young adults and could be perfectly well discussed here so long as others are respectful.

A lot of the angst that teens and 20 something adults feel towards their parent/s stems from their childhood idealization of believing their parents perfect... then discovering they are as flawed as any other person.

Bump again.

For all I know, mantra, and for all Amadd knows you could be a 16 year old snooty nosed kid.  You sure do behave like one sometimes.

Oh, I see. That’s how it works in your mind, wot?

Nah.  Nooooody noooo, noooo!

You made the claim, you back it up, or I’ll take what you say as just a fart in a very strong breeze.

Okay?

That's the word I was looking for - oppressive. She's incredibly oppressive. She's protected here also and even Aussie has resorted to asking questions on her behalf.

My 2c worth: -

Sappho's comments most reflect my take on the scenario raised by Amadd.

I agree with the gist of some other comments too - including Mantra's - but I do think that some professional counseling might be of benefit.  No need for a psychiatrist - a psychologist-cum-relationship counsellor should suffice!

Best wishes with it all, Amadd!

No, I am asking questions on my own behalf, mantra.  You ought know by know that I am a 'very big boy' who holds no-ones hand including your or Lisa's, and you will also know that I do not expect anyone to hold mine.

Lisa is no more 'protected' than you are, mantra.

Yes I could be 16 Aussie which means that the old regulars have known me since I started posting on Cracker when I was ten years old.

You're angry with me for other reasons because I and others left you, Monk, Lisa & Annielaurie alone to get on with your takeover of FD's forum - so your anger isn't justified. It's not my fault that no-one posts there anymore because you're all so bloody boring.

You take suggestions so literally. You are always trying to suggest something is said that isn't. Read my post properly - I didn't say that it was a fact that he's left - I said "MAYBE he's left''.
