Depleted Uranium munitions used in Iraq led to some pretty horrendous consequences for the civilian population. There is evidence that some of the batches were also contaminated with nuclear waste.

It's a subject that went cold in the press around 2003, but allowing children to play in U3O8 dust from DU munitions that caught fire on impact was not the smartest thing that the US military ever did.

So muso - the only MISTAKE that the US military made was to allow chidlren to play in the U dust?

The fact that they use DU in munitions at all is never questioned by muso.

We're lucky. We had ancestors who had hearts of steel that our generation could never understand. We should not question our prosperity that they gave their lives for.

Well, Mr Musician, your new best friend turned feral and toxic very quickly. First there was climate science kumbaya but now there is only spittle and venom. The guy (for he is no woman) is a total and unsalvagable drongo. He just has no intelligent bone in his body. What drives him is a big smacking hairy devil on his back, up his arse and chewing his ear, telling him what to think. He just can't possibly say something intelligent. The climate science thread is wrecked by this stupid CheDolf.

The Cold War was not about economic systems. It was about what human nature is, what the proper and fitting social organisation is for humans and the like. It was about where we are, by nature, on the Robinson Crusoe-Spartan phalanx scale.
Economics is only a part of it, not the whole.

It is unsurprising that our resident stupid drongo has successfully covered even the climate science thread with his usual anti-American spittle. Stand by for inane and completely irrelevant picture.

And if racist Soren actually knew what the significance of a Spartan Phalanx was he wouldnt be using in such an ignorant manner

But then Soren cannot even look at this image

TERRA NULLIUS

Hell hath no fury. Entertaining as it is, maybe I should try to sort out this thread and retain the climate science bit.

Not even close. Let's get back on subject. Foolosophy has a reputation and integrity to withhold after all.

You seem to have an artistic talent for creating strawmen. You are certainly a shining wit (sic). Just try to relapse and read what people actually post.
