Brown himself admitted Greens did badly in NSW.

Akin to people in Queensland stating they thought it'd been a tad windy at the start of the year.

Pretty hard for him to state anything else.

Problem is the Greens don't offer much more than a party of protest over the environment.
On other areas, they are extremists. They advocate some of us paying over half of our earnings in tax.
They'd see corporations paying through the nose in tariffs.

They have little economic sense about them.

So when the people of NSW wanted to vent their anger over the rising cost of living, they were hardly going to support a party which clearly advocates that they should be paying even more.

Hence the huge result in Labor heartlands for Barry and his team.

No where in the link from the opening post does 'Bob Brown admit Greens did poorly in NSW'

Doesn't the poster usually criticise others for doing what he has done here?

I accept that green has zero capacity for interpretation and understanding (everything must be spelled out in monosylabic words for him to get even a tenuous grasp) , but I expected you to be able to understand what brown was implying.

Yes he did blame the media for reporting less than flattering stories on thier policies, but welcome to the big league.

The greens crashed and burned from the boast of brown's that the greens were "extremely popular", just admit they failed and move on.

Greens wank is an uneducated idiot, best left ignored, along with bill crany and warfy.

So the title of the tread is a lie ... thanks for verifying big hole.

Now the NSW Greens has increased in vote in this State election.

Also in the booth I scrutinised, Greens received 19.5% of the vote and Greens was the most popular 2 choice when a voter preferenced ... of the Independent (20%) and Labor (23%).

Greens have the potential of winning this booth next time if this upswing for the Greens across the country and the world continues.

While you are technically correct Brown did say that the statements on Israel cost them votes.

While LW has stretched the point I do not think it is an entirely unreasonable exageration.

Though I doubt that this statement has had the impact some may think.

In virtually every election I can remember the Greens have been expected to do well but it has only come to fruition on one or two occasions.

I think there are two major reasons, One is that people who indicate they may vote green in servays etc chicken out by the time they reach the booth and the second more specific to this election where we have a minority government nationally which always tends to polarise votes to the major party's.

In this case with votes also going away from Labor it meant the Libs and Nats did unreasonably well. Anyone expecting a strong Green result in this situation has missed the mark badly, they have done well to stay basically where they were or maybe a slight improvement.
