What ? not the Chris Busby?
http://junksciencewatch.wordpress.com/

Quote:
Busby’s CV exposed
Although superficially impressive to the gullible and the naive, his CV conveys a facade of scientific respectability that is built on sand. Here are some key points:
(1) BSc Chemistry (London), PhD Chemical Physics (Kent). Failed to complete his first PhD project – an early indication of his intellectual shortcomings.
(2) Glorified laboratory assistant for a few years.
(3) Dropped out to pursue a ‘life of adventure’ on the ocean wave – why bother getting a real job when millions of taxpayers will pay for education, health services, etc?
(4) Self-appointed "scientific consultant", "writer", and director of "green audit".
(5) Self-described government "expert" – in fact, Busby got himself invited on to the CERRIE committee by Michael Meacher MP to represent a tiny minority view (equivalent to flat-earthers) shared by virtually no scientists with any credible scientific record. Apparently, it was government policy to be as inclusive as possible, even if that meant including people with no talent beyond self-promotion. Richard Bramhall, Busby’s sycophantic second lieutenant and former professional musician, was also invited on to CERRIE to represent the low level radiation campaign, even though this is effectively the same organisation as "green audit".

Think of Chris Busby in the same light as Roy Spencer of the University of Alabama or Christopher Monckton. They are all full of it.  The anti-nuclear brigade is just as fervent and wacky as the Climate Denialists.

Obviously muso is the ONE to listen to LOL

Busby is not alone and is one of many experts in this area.

muso has been totally wrong on the fukushima incident from the begining.

I think we can safely equate the muso propaganda mutterings with TEPCO's corporate spin line.

muso still wont talk about internal emitters and prefers the extrenal radiation comparison AS used by the Nuclear power industry lobby groups and self serving nuclear power authorities.

How many cancers and deaths developed from the Chernobyl incident muso??

Today, why cant Germans eat wild boars on hunted on their homeland muso?

silent muso, embarrassed, integrity shot to pieces he now hides behind the only refuge left - the shooting of the messenger Busby.

Oh the pit of lies that muso has dug for himself

There is only one way out muso

You know what to do

I wonder if muso wants to see the extensive list of court cases that Prof Busby has appeared as an expert wtiness?

I wonder if muso wants to see the impressive peer reviewed list of scientific articles that Prof Busby has published over many decades?

For muso to plunge into his last refuge and attempt to discredit Prof. Busby's international reputation not only is commical and pathetic, but says a lot about muso as a person and his current state of desperation to save face in here.

muso quote of the week "FUKUshima reactors are still at LEVEL 5 threat but overall the situation has risen to LEVEL 7"

Anyone with the slightest training in Radiology will realise that Chris Busby is a flake - a pseudoscientist. Check out that link I provided.

He's the "Low Levels of Radiation are not harmless" guru. He conveniently ignores that fact that we are constantly exposed to background radiation, including Carbon 14 and potassium 40. The atmosphere contains Radon gas.

Obviously Greenpeace will love him.

Of course you know that even Screaming Lord Monckton was a policy advisor to Margaret Thatcher?

It's when they get old and eccentric that they start to get out of control.

I think we all know who the fake is here dont we muso. LOL

What aspects of the health damage caused by internal emitters do you object to muso?

Are you able to enlighten everyone in here why Germans cant eat the wild boars that roam around their countryside?

Youre a politicised psuedo-scientist - the worst kind. The ones that direct all their energies into deceiving the public with selective pusedo-science and spin on behalf of deceiving self interest lobby groups and corporate plutocracies.

muso thinks that the reactors at Fukushima are still at a threat level 5 severity. LOL

reactor 2 alone, weeks ago had already breached its primary containment when its core melted through to the concrete base below.

level 5

OK Einstein,

If the core melted through the RPV and is now lying on the concrete base below, why do you suppose it's so hot in the RPV? After all, the core is no longer contained within it. Why do you think the drywell is at atmospheric pressure?

- and why would they bother to fill the RPV with nitrogen if it's already holed?

- and how on earth do you keep it filled with water at a flowrate of only 6m3/hr if there is a bloody great hole at the base in the first place?

hmmm?

Make your mind up. Am I Soren or Gizmo, or just everybody who disagrees with you? (ie almost every poster) I can see why Anarchy would be an attraction for you. It saves having to think.

Foolosophy - There is a gas in the atmosphere that you breath in every day. It's an alpha emitter (5 letters... starts with R)
- and it's the largest source of background radiation around, whether you live in Kerala India, Aberdeen, Scotland or Alice Springs.

Now you have to calculate the dose to a single cell..... Remember just one microgram can give you cancer.....
and remember the difference between internal dose and external.

Remind me again. What's the difference between a natural alpha particle and one that comes from Plutonium or U-235?

Which is more harmful?
Quote:
Some areas, including Cornwall and Aberdeenshire in the United Kingdom have high enough natural radiation levels that nuclear licensed sites cannot be built there — the sites would already exceed legal radiation limits before they opened, and the natural topsoil and rock would all have to be disposed of as low-level nuclear waste.

Yet their cancer rates show no significant difference from other populations, and the same goes for the cancer rate among airline crews.

However, keep repeating the mantra that there is no safe level of radiation.

....I received a very interesting PM recently from a very reliable source that a certain person in here operates under more than one name.

Why would someone hide behind more than one name in here - of all places.???

LEVEL 5

Maybe muso rates the middle of the pacific as a level 1

If anyone wishes to see how TEPCO distorts the truth and how it is caught out by one of the world's best nuclear engineering consultants have a look at Arnold Gundersen's updated analysis of the Fukushima incident. (19/4/11)
