I meant the rules, if the users must abide by them, shouldn't the admin and moderators? I did personally abuse an annoying troll so I deserved the ban, but the 'warning' was omitted, as was the email.

Sorry about that Pansi. The rules should apply to everybody. I'll just ban myself for a day (I also have a lot of work going on)

That's ok...no harm done, just like equality.

If Pansi gets a temporary ban for one comment - what about those who are continually abusive to anyone who dares cross their path. Do they deserve a permanent ban?

That's news to me. I'm surprised at those comments and surprised you got banned just for one comment - usually it takes continual abusive comments before someone is banned.

There's been a lot of banning lately.
If there was no reason for the banning maybe your Ip address was banned as it was similar to  someone else's???????

I said there was a reason....personal abuse. You don't really have to but sometimes frustration gets the better of you.

welcome back pansi....I am almost sure it was a mistaken identity thing you are not abusive.. not by my reckoning anyway..lol..and beleive me I think I have been abused by the best on here.

I have tried to sign on to political animal but their code is far too hard to read.. I keep getting it wrong.. maybe they dont want me either..lol

Anyone can register over there Cods. I have trouble with those codes as well. I'm not sure if there's a refresher button.

It's rarely moderated and Mel has a free rein there - so if you have difficulty - message FD on this board and he should be able to fix it up.

thanks cods....don't you hate those codes, I shudder when I see a 1 or is it small l or big I, I had a peek over there, didn't see much serious debate going on, just personal abuse mostly between mellie and the rest....it gets boring after page 1.

The moderators tend to take sides when they get in on the argument......not good when they can drive certain people off because of an opposing agenda. Free speech should be upheld at all costs, by that I don't mean personal abuse or the leaking of personal information that could be liable, but no one should be banned because of their political stance.

I hope you get plenty of help to pack and move etc and best of luck selling, it's a real headache but seems to come together in the end.....somehow.

Unfortunately that's how the board is run. The abuse is horrendous - I'm probably the most polite member there (hard to believe).

I have to take responsibility for complaining about that thread. It was in your face 24/7 and just seemed to be a hate thread - although in retrospect - it wasn't worth worrying about and would have died a natural death eventually.

Pansi won out with her persistence though and didn't back down.

Sounds like the pub at Nebo on a Saturday night. I think I'll avoid that board.

- Pansi

I understand and appreciate your comment re frustration. It does get the better of you esp when another moron sees fit to take it upon themselves to follow you around whenever you post and to interrupt your conversations with others and to include your family members in their personal attacks AFTER you've repeatedly told them to sod off and lay off your case.

Which is why I believe an ignore button would help. I've seen it work well on a few other forums too.
