In the first major paper of its kind, a new study in the February 17 Nature has found that heavy precipitation is at least partly due to the growing concentration of manmade greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere.

I'm glad you posted that reference. It's an important new paper.  Of course it has been suspected for a while, but now it's conclusive.

I don't know about 5 billion years, to be honest.  But I love how deniers will try to refute science that is available and provide NO EVIDENCE to the contrary.

YOU KNOW FOR CERTAIN that it didn't happen??

No I don't know for certain that the Ice caps haven't melted many times in the past, or that some (or numerous) land areas haven't been flooded due to perfectly natural fluctuations in temperature and climate conditions....which is in fact the whole point to the argument..

No wonder Gillard hates Julian Assange, he was who leaked the truth about climate change.

http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5186415/Climategate

Here, download and read the leading CRU scientist emails who were caught falsifying research data between themselves, this and cracking jokes about their having to cook the books between colleagues.

Note:  This was once our world authority and UN advisor's...concerning all things climate change.
Well, before the scientists disappeared off the face of the earth this and the climatic research unit closed.

But don't take my word for it....lol

Exactly right. So, would you rather just deny deny deny or listen to some science that is suggesting otherwise? No one, at least not me, is suggesting we go all out and call the end of the world, buit surely if YOU DON"T KNOW and SCIENCE is suggesting something is incredibly plausible we should look at it?

That and the fact that in the end it just make perfect sense for the future sustainability of not only this planet but the economy.

gizmo I thought the whole point of this topic was for the true believers.. [suckers] to prove that it hasnt happened before..the icecaps have never melted.. why should those who disagree have to prove anything... if they want to believe who bloody cares.

why they care what I think is a mystery to me... I just dont like taxing something that most who claim they know more than the rest of us have been found to be liar.. but then some prefer lies.. it gets them votes.

I see you have quietly, not addressed the actual issue and tried to side-step into something completely irrlevant!

I used to know someone else who made an artform of that, although she didn't do it all that well, perhaps you live with her - slr20mcclaren?

So, I gather from your non-response, that you are not aware of any other time, "when the Earth was near Peaking its warming cycle AND there were 7 Billion+ humans on this planet"?
