Back in those days, they were begging people to populate our nation, especially educated those from Europe, though now... the standard has somewhat dropped, as you may have noticed as per your reflection in the mirror. Wink

Do you know of any squalid Portuguese communities here in Australia

There aren't many over here, Portuguese people I mean.

Most don't want to live here in Australia, and if they do, they usually go back home sooner or later.

Portugal is gorgeous.

Quite different to Iraq, Afghanistan, etc...

nice story mel my son in law if of Portugese hertiage mum and dad come here about 40 years ago a smashing chap we sling off at each other all the time..he nor I are sensitive like some.

he tell me there are many pockets of Portugese here Sydney in particular... they integrated mel like the poms.. you wouldnt know if you didnt ask I think thats the difference if we went around wearing shrouds and scarfs over our heads.. we would give it away though..

I just want every one to respect each other and I find that a bit hard when I look at someone with a shawl over their face.and when they constantly expect those already here to integrate with them and their way of life. otherwise call them evil names its too convenient..

its already coming out it isnt working overseas.. and we wont be any different ,because we dont demand people adhere to our way of life.

"I hate the parliament. I hate [democracy] with a pure hate," he says. Moreover, it is obligatory for all Muslims to reject democracy, because it is a challenge to God's law: "They must hate it, speak out against it, and if that doesn't work, take action against it."

Siddiq-Conlon formed Sharia4Australia last year, styling himself as the new champion for Islamic law in Australia.
