No wonder Greens support is growing while Liberal support is collapsing.

You don't think 1.6 million bucks had anything to do with it?!!?

You need stronger arguments!

So Mr Green_Whack,

Isn't it good that the youth eventually mature and start listing to us oldies and realise that they tooo have been given a brain and can look and think outside the political agenda of many movements in this country!!

Bring on another election.....

You mean the agenda of science.

Climate Change May Be Making Australia's Floods Worse

"The waters off Australia are the warmest ever measured and those waters provide moisture to the atmosphere for the Queensland and northern Australia monsoon," Matthew England of the Climate Change Research Center at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, told

"The first thing we can say with La Nina and El Nino is it is now happening in a hotter world," said David Jones of the Australia Bureau of Meteorology in Melbourne in the Reuters report.

Proof reinforces theoretical ideas!

What is your problem with this?

Single events cannot a data set make! The silver spooners can laugh and smoke crack and pretend but the scientist has to wait and collect his govenment paycheck and conditions and be happy over time collecting the boring data set needed to come to proper conclusions if any!

Warnings are great, but they don't understand how the clouds work etc.....!

No I,m just not into people in ivory towers that have never got their hands dirty (public servants) making ALL the decisions and taking control away from those that know more.

I am not into some people working 8 days a week to better themselves and their lot in life to be taxed out of existence by a bunch of morons that do nothing!!

This is the LABOR way!!!

Get your hand off it mate: Liberal voters sell houses and complain about how the scientists are subsidised!

Buddy, you are on the crackity-whack!!!

We’ve done it. Through good management and gentle prodding from Bishop Brown of the Green Church we have managed to turn the most pernicious threat to Australia and humanity on its ear. We have met and defeated GLOBAL WARMING/AGW/CLIMATE CHANGE/CLIMATE CHALLENGE.

Can YOU explain An Inland Tsunami on top of a mountain range  for me then?

Torrential unrelenting rain? How is it that the flood level of 1974 was higher than the present flood level if AGW is at play? Shouldn't and wouldn't the 36 years of burning more coal etc lead to a higher downfall based on a hotter earth and atmosphere causing more water vapor to enter the atmosphere? How is it that based on the environment heating up we haven't seen the current event repeated every year for the last 36 years?

Uh-oh: I THINK WE HAVE FOUND SOMEONE WITH A DANGEROUS BRAIN CHEMISTRY!

EXTREMIST ALERT!

Ive gotten to the stage where I simply dont believe the 'facts' that are presented on climate anymore. it never ends. every event is blamed on climate change and warming. I've pretty much had it with the contradictory, nonsensical and absurd positions some of these people occupy.

Here you go longy...an almost complete list of the things that are caused by climate change and global warming.....

Our changing climate has brought flood
•      Matthew Wright
•      From: The Daily Telegraph
•      January 17, 2011 12:00AM

'Eventually tobacco companies were compelled to pay damages to the victims of their harmful product. So too should the coal industry. They have contributed massively to the cumulative carbon emissions and must finance rebuilding Queensland.
Queensland is the world's largest exporter of seaborne coal. As the floods shut down the state's supply chain, global coal prices shot up by 20 per cent. This rise clearly demonstrates the scale of Australia's contribution to the coal market and to climate changes.'

I think Matthew Wright is a bit of a flogger.
He should take his sci fi stories elsewhere and not use the tabloids to peddle his crap.
