absolutely !!!!!!!
In the case of the lunatic left the decision is :- "Come one and all, we'll give you food, shelter, beds, net access, free dental, job training, health care AND a lawyer !!!!!!!!!! "

Anyone would go there.

Which is why those coming here are not genuine refugees.
If they were they'd go to the first life buoy, helping hand and not bypass them.

After this latest episode of dead people, Julia Gillard will pretend "not to know".

Julia Gillard's government has blood on it's hands, and that wa searlier this year. Julia Gillard wanted an apology - and fortunately that was never given.
And to think Julia Gillard freely accuses innocent Julain Assange of being a criminal yet cannot identify what he is a criminal of.

Now Wendy wants to delay the issue of Boat People and the Pacific Solution vs The Death Solution. Meanwhile more boat people will/are coming.

These boat people were from Iran, and now this honeypot effect is still luring people to come to the 'soft' Australia. Meaning more deaths will be happening.

David Marr is blaming the Navy for this tragedy rather than the weak soft boat people laws.
Julai Gillard boasted about HER policy which has lured the boat people.
Julia Gillard MUST resign.
But Julia Gillard won't resign.

The Julia Gillard solution is not a solution at all, more people in detention, more deaths than ever before.
What else needs to happen before Julia Gillard gets the message that her policy (and Kevin Rudd's) is simply just not working!

Judge the government by the consequence of its' actions. Julia Gillard was forewarned and decided to ignore it.
The tragedy is a direct result from the government's actions.
How much blood on Julia Gillard's hands will continue to be worn.
In the six years prior to the Rudd/Gillard era there weren't any deaths, be hard to since only about 3 boats per year were arriving.
However since the dismantling of the Pacific Solution, since the "softer" approach, since the encouragement by the Rudd/Gillard governments for people smugglers to do what they do, more deaths and more boats have been happening.
Time to go Julia.

You are a little obsessed there.

Do you dream about Julia Gillard and toss and turn thinking about her while frothing at the mouth?

The more boats that come the better. I wonder what side of politics that came from.

I do enjoy your "blood on her hands" rantings though. I mean, if we over look that there are always refugees out there despite what Australias policy is at the time and pretend that the only reason they take a chance to seek assylum is because of Australias laws.

Takes a good imagination to do that though.

And yet another boat has landed, this makes three boats this week.

When will Julia Gillard realise that her honeypot policy is not turning people away rather it is luring people to risk their lives to get here.
And at least 200 people have died thanks to Kevin Rudd & Julia Gillard's honeypot policy.

The only reason that those people were there in the first place was because of the Julia Gillard & Kevin Rudd policies.

As shown by the statistics from Kevin Rudd's own office.

There will be more deaths and more tragedies, so get used to it, until Julia Gillard admits that her policies have failed and removes the honeypot.
The government changed the laws against all advice.
But this time, these deaths were captured on camera, and has hit home.
Well hit home everywhere except with Julia Gillard.

People have died before but this time it is shoved right in our face.

But we all knew that this was going to happen.

This time?

It has happened before but under Howards watch. Were you just as outraged then as well?

Julia Gillard won't change her 'go soft' & 'welcome one, welcome all' policy for fear of being seen as being weak.
But the answer is staring right at her face, but she is being insanely stubborn.
With so many boats arriving there will be another tragedy, maybe not shoved right in our face and aired on television but there will be more.
And the government is encouraging this.
Julai Gillard will try and wait another 6 months and then maybe will try a subtle change.
In the meantime then 6 months (26 weeks) of boats of around 4 -5 per week, would mean around 130 more boats before Julia Gillard gets the message.
Julia Gillard will be pushing for increased & more Navy surveliance so as to give each/any boat a safe escort into Australia.

The graph conveniently misses THIS turning point ...

2009 January - Government troops capture the northern town of Kilinochchi, held for ten years by the Tamil Tigers as their administrative headquarters. President Mahinda Rajapakse calls it an unparalleled victory and urges the rebels to surrender.

2009 February - International concern over the humanitarian situation of thousands of civilians trapped in the battle zone prompts calls for a temporary cease-fire. This is rejected by the government, which says it is on the verge of destroying the Tamil Tigers, but it offers an amnesty to rebels if they surrender.

Of course they wouldn't have been outraged. 3000 asylum seeker lives could have been lost under Howard, not just the 300 and the Howard fans wouldn't have blinked an eye. They embraced the war in Afghanistan and the illegal invasion of Iraq regardless of the thousands of deaths it was responsible for.

They can't get it through their thick heads that this is why we have so many refugees from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Gillard will be forced to change the policy after this tragedy exactly the same as Howard did - although I doubt she will be as extreme, but she also has to meet the approval of the UN. So if you want to blame anyone - blame them.

Its quite simple.
A fast and efficient system of processing by Australian officials in Indonesia and Malaysia would solve the problem of the few desperate people taking desperate measures seeking asylum in Australia.
We have a very small issue with asylum seekers compared to the rest of the world and even when compared to poorer countries in our own region we certainly do not shoulder enough of the refugee burden.
No matter how many boats are arriving in Australian waters at the moment..its still a tiny minority of the worlds Asylum seeker problem and as we all know the vast majority of these people comes from war torn countries where we hold some responsibility.
Howards solution was to bomb Afghanistan and Iraq and then when the refugees poured out of those countries he decided to take political mileage and tell Indonesia that this product of our invasion was their problem and not ours.
The people who declare the Asylum seeker problem can be solved simply by making life so hard if they try and seek refuge here ignore the facts that we have an international obligation to help but we also have a regional obligation to shoulder a fair share along with our already over burdened nieghbours who, unlike us, did not cause this refugee problem in the first place.

That is precisely why it should be dealt with now rather than letting things escalate to a level that is much harder to manage.

We have absolutely no obligation to accept illegal entries of any kind. No country does.
