Actually absolutly incorrect - many of the refugee claiments arrive by air, about 10 to 1 more than by boat, they are not tourists and they have no intention of going home. Many claim refugee status and are processed the same way as boat arrivals.

Tick`s point was actually more pertinant than all of your contributions to date. [/quote]

Do Boat people sneak on board? - well actually no they don't - I do not see how any comment could be less pertinant or have missed the mark by further.

Do many realise that most boat people travel to Indonesia by air?

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/nation/refugees-pay-40000-to-come-by-plane/...

ASYLUM-seekers are arriving in Australia by air in numbers that dwarf boat arrivals, after paying people-smugglers up to $US40,000, for a package that includes airfares, false passports and forged Australian visas.
The racket has been revealed by a Sri Lankan refugee who was granted a protection visa after arriving in Australia in April on false travel documents supplied by a professional people-smuggler in Malaysia.

Figures from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship show the number of asylum-seekers who arrive by plane dwarfs the numbers who arrive by boat. A DIAC spokesman said that, in 2008-09, 206 people were granted protection visas after arriving in Australia by boat, while 2172 received protection after arriving by plane.

The total number of plane arrivals who applied for refugee status in that period was 5076. A far smaller proportion of those who arrive by air are ultimately found to be genuine refugees

'Most of these alleged refugees to places such as Canada, Australia and Europe are hardcore LTTE people.

The Tigers are trying to regroup to keep the movement alive because of the success of our military engagement in Sri Lanka.

If these are so called refugees, where are the women and children?

It is for these reasons we have, as a Government, requested to the host nations that these people are denied entry and sent back to Sri Lanka to face the justice that is demanded by our people.'

In Britain we have a serious Muslim problem, as a result of the madness of a policy stemming back to the 1960s.

Just yesterday the Bristol City v Leicester game I went to - our fans were singing to Leicester fans "You're just a town full of pakis".

Why?
Because in the next two elections time, Leicester is likely to have more coloured Muslim voters than British voters.

Now you look at places like Dandenong which are getting full of the sort of trash and third world losers that we can do without.
Australia is behind the play in comparison to Britain and France, but unless it is careful it too will develop a significant immigrant problem.

It is our actions now, which may create a more safe and sound place for our children and their children.
Otherwise they will find themselves in classrooms full of Mohammeds instead of Johns.

I dont see a give away as you say all in different names with the appropriate credentials - could even be done online. No way to differentiate this ticket from any other valid traveller.

A lot more than 12 months old - it had been going on for years but there were no votes in creating a panic over the threat from the air.

Would my suggestion of taking in ZERO refugees, no matter how they come, not resolve that problem of air?

Can I take it you support my position then dna?

Sumith Dassanayake,
Sri Lankan High Commission, Ottawa

"He said the ship is part of a human smuggling operation linked to the Tamil Tigers.

Last October, a ship carrying 76 Sri Lankan migrants was intercepted in Canadian waters after crossing the Pacific from Sri Lanka. The group on board the Ocean Lady claimed to be fleeing persecution.

All of the men were immediately detained in jails around the Vancouver area, but most were let go within weeks or months, and only one remained in custody on suspicion of being a Tiger. By this past spring, he, too, had been released."

Little substance to the claims.

Canada has a population of about 300,000 Tamils - not all are male.

"Initial images of the vessel show woman and children, some smiling, aboard the dilapidated, tarp-draped vessel. Anandasangaree said the tarps might be used to shield the identities of those on board. He suggested there could be reprisals against family members still in Sri Lanka if those identities are revealed."

I think you will find, Cods, that Howard and Costello substantially aided and abetted the plane people traffickers - by facilitating the growth in full fee paying university places and the associated importing of foreign 'students'...
