From a bloke who refuses to live in Australia yet tells everyone how they should live.....

Yep, a fine person to comment.

You stick to your rice and chicken.

This boat people argument is making me dizzy.  Same old thing, and around and around we go.

Things wont change.

Thing is though, something has to be done.

I was back in England the other week and you walk down some streets in the cities and you would no longer think you were in England.

These people who come ghettoise communities, they don't mingle with their host culture and they stick to their own kind.
It kills the social fabric of the host nation but for me it also is a total waste of money.

We give pensioners a pissy $30 increase, people who have paid into the country all their lives.

Then we give these boatloads of shoe shiners apartments and living expenses.
Madness.

Agreed.

I was cycling around the Dubbo Western Plains Zoo once and ran into a couple from London. They were talking to me about how great Australia is and how great Dubbo was in particular. The subject of what the U.K is like came up and they told me that living there is a game of "spot the Englishman". They obviously were alienated greatly by this and found Dubbo, with its evident ethnic homogenity and its population, being primarily of British extraction, comforting. I felt bad for them but didn't know what to think until I returned to London a few years after. They were right.

It isn't Britain anymore. It's the Caliphrate of Subcontinental Afro-Carribeans. All that is happening is that you are quite literally making a nation less like a family. The bonds of genetic-relatedness keep us together within nations greater than any other force. And this has been demonstrated countlessly in the literature.

In Leicester and Bradford constituencies, the trend is that there will be more Pakistani and Indian people than British people.

This in 2 major British cities.

That is what happens.

Funny how the Brits, in the first instance, felt entitled to colonise other countries and establish a self-serving flow of goods, services, capital, information and people...

What part/s of 'free trade' and 'globalisation' don't these Westerners understand!?

Yeah, and then it is likewise funny that all the people in the places they chose to colonise wanted independence so badly, but now that they have it they all want to come to the U.K.

Depends.

Yorkshire and Lancashire have an appalling amount of South Asians now.
Manchester has a lot of blacks.

London is still the melting pot though.

The shires are still nice.

I hear that in New Mexico, they have more American people than Mexican people.

If this trend continues...

If they were from London, they're either full of sh!t, or very, very thick.
