and sales. If the big retail outlets, DJ's, Myer etc didn't have constant sales they'd go bust right now. This Christmas will be the straw that breaks the camels back, especially with the rate rise.

You could not imagine what is making money online.
I spoke to a girl who is making a living selling womens clothes on Ebay.
Her customers come back because of the bargains.
Myers will sell a blouse that they bought for $5 - for $60 !!
& she sells it for $20.
The big stores will be out of business when this catches on.

The catch with Ebay is the postage, and the fact that you can't really check the quality of the items online.

Still, I've had a few bargains through Ebay.

If you want some really good bargains in clothes, the SE Asian countries, with the possible exception of Singapore is a good bet.

I priced some perfumes for my wife for Christmas. I found the best deal at our local Discount Pharmacies shop on the high street. No worries about fake products either. I tried about 15 sources online. I don't trust Ebay for perfumes, but strawberry.net is not bad.

If you can buy it cheap, the regular shops can too.

By the way, Duty Free shops are usually overpriced. You can usually get a better deal shopping around.

Yes, but a politically stable country with a good economy is hard to find. The overseas investers will come - and leave in an instant when things start to stabilise in the US. Of course that might be some time off.

Yeah, but QLD, NSW and VIC have NO restriction on Bows.......
I know, because I have compound bow on top of my wardrobe....

Swords are a naughty here in NSW, but bows aren't....neither are bayonets...

Basically, bows CAN be imported into Australia....the restriction is State by State...

So your post that bows and arrows were illegal imports into Australia as a whole was WRONG......

And QLD pretty much doesn't ban anything.....not sure on crossbows...
