The Queen of England, you know the one, Elizabeth II, wanted to know all about the global financial crises, how it come about and what went wrong. So she calls an economist over to Buckingham Palace. He tells her all about what happened and how bad it is rah rah rah.

AT the end of the explanation, she asks him how it is that none of the so called leading economists saw this coming.

He had no explanation at first. He had to get back to her.

In a letter, he wrote that basically we didn't see it because we didn't want to.

It will be the same next time.

We saw it coming a year or two before. We see it coming again. Do they?

Many economists had predicted it - they were just ignored by the mainstream. At the moment, the increasingly popular Neo-keynesianism is becoming the new standard, which I personally think is even worse than mainstream economics.

None are so blind, as those who will not see!

None so deaf, as those who will not hear!

And, none so ignorant, as those who will not accept facts, which logic says is true!

1) Some Economists predicted, some of what happened and only noting some of the factors, which affected events and are still affecting events. And, yes, mainstream economists & Politicians general disregarded those predictions & took no action. Biut that's been happening for a long time (decades, not years) and it's not likely to change, near term!

2)  Keynesism certainly has its advocates, new or old, but so to does the Austrian school of Economics.

Whilst both have their advocates and both may have some aspects, which could be usefull in the current circumstances, I fear that neither will have the answers wanted by Politicians & the general Public, as we have already gone past major tipping points, some recently & some decades ago, which means that we are now locked into certain outcomes, many of which are likely to be adverse for some time to come!

The moderators, including FD haven't been around much lately so I doubt it's intentional that some threads get moved and others don't. I agree there are too many non-political topics on the Politicians Suck forum - but how many times do people need to be told they're posting in the wrong forum?

They've been told so many times - but continue to do it.

Probably the best thing to do is post the links of the culprit threads to either Mozzaok, Locutius or FD with a copy to each and keep your fingers crossed that someone gets around to moving them.

Mantra,
Thank you for your input!

My apologies for not responding earlier!

As I have indicated in other posts, I really don't have a problem with posts not being moved. Whether they fit any particular parameters for that board segment or not.

Where I have a problem, is where one particular person apparently uses two different sets of values to determine a course of action.

That person (FD), is the pre-dominant person who moves threads to different board segments, but he disregards a large number of threads (including some of my own), which obviously have little or nothing to do with that board segment.

However, he then moves a relative few, which may or may not have either direct &/or indirect Political associations, which seems more to do with his whim of the day, at best or some form of personal censorship!

In my opinion, moving or deleting threads &/or posts, are somthing that should be reserved for miscreants & obviously nasty posts or legal dilemma's, but certainly not for the run of the mill thread or post, whether on topic or not!
