Well James, given you're too young to vote, you are obviously too young to be running a working family so, given that I do, I will let you know.
In 2007 when my wife and I, both working, had a child the Coalition Government's scheme of providing us with A$5,000 helped us to buy a cot, wardrobe, change table, fit out the nursery etc all for our new arrival.
It also helped us make the change from seeing our revenue cut in half with just one of us working.
Under a Labor Government, we would not have been entitled to this help.
So there is one thing right off the top of my head.
What about the rest of it andrei?
It was Labor that brought in the baby bonus, under another name, and the Labor Goverment didn't make a big song and dance about it.
When Howard got in the Liberal Goverment cancelled it and brought it back a couple of years later and called it the "Baby Bonus"
The Liberal Goverment made a big song and dance about it "One for mum, one for dad and one for the country." Rembeber that the Liberal claimed it was their idea also.
