What I stand for.
Sep 9th, 2010 at 11:28pm

I am now a member of the NSW ALP. So I've decided to post what I stand for. Feel free to comment.

Quote:
I stand for lower taxes on families, increased pension and carer rates, the introduction of a voucher system for the DOLE payment, lower baby bonus.

That's what I stand for Welfare.

For hospitals, I stand for more money for educational institutions to teach more doctors and nurses to staff the hospital wards that are in the most need. (EG. Emergency Departments), more money for infrastructure to build more hospitals to eliminate some of the pressure currently placed on the current staff shortage on emergency wards and the unacceptable waiting times.

For education, I stand for the advancement of technology in schools and only introducing Wireless for an NBN into schools when the kinks is all worked out of it. It is still one of the most insecure and unreliable networks available. But clearly, Tony Abbott and his communications minister can't see that. Labor's plan, while more expensive, will provide better services.

So that's what I stand for. Oh, and I'm not one of the Polly's that say I stand for things and then change once I get elected.

I have proven that with careful budget management, you CAN have high Pension and Carers rates while keeping a low tax rate. However, while this may not be popular, there may be a need for a NEW taxes to consolidate all the extra spending on the Pension and Carer. It is doable but this current bunch don't see it that way.

Also, I think the Mining tax would have been better received if they had made it a tax on all industry. Plus they would have acquired more money. I think a tax on all industry would not raise the cost of living like a tax on coles and woolworths will.

Your thoughts on all I have mentioned?

James would do well to focus on the subject "English".

Perhaps James could aspire to those standards of proper English displayed by Stryder...

Seriously, you don't have to agree with what James has written, but if he's genuine, you've got to give him kudos for coming here to express his thoughts in the manner he has.

If I don't respond to a post directed toward me, it's probably because I've gone offline, not because I'm rude.&&&&Or maybe I don't like you. In which case, sod off. Ta.

Give me a break.
The verb To Be is the most common verb in the english language.
If you can't conjugate that then how could you run a country?
