Did you read the OP Gizmo?
I believe we should be working towards helping people find a formula, or set of guidelines for creating a harmonious domestic environment. There will always be dysfunctional individuals, but hopefully we could minimise problems?
I read the OP and it wants to counter a current campaign which has not been linked. If it is the campaign that I am thinking about, then it is about more than violent abuse, it is about psych and sexual abuse also and uses the example of drug junkies and alcohols as examples of perpetrators.
If that is the campaign to which the men's group refers, then even I agree that it is bias.... you see it removes the middle classes from the problem and places the issue within the scope of white trash.
The problems of violent, psychological and sexual abuse to which children are subjected is a problem for both genders irrespective of the dominant gender of the perpetrator. It is a middle class and upper class problem as much as it is a lower class and gutter class problem.
If the perpetrator is male, then the female in that picture, if there is one, must act... that they don't act to remove themselves and children, makes them as guilty as the perpetrator.
