Squishing someone isn't beating them to death.

I wonder how many men have been beaten to death by their female partners.

The point being?
Are you saying violence by women on men is OK ?
Can you see how this attitude STARTS real domestic violence?

No, well drugging someones food and then shooting them twice in the head while they're asleep isn't beating them to death either.....

No, aussie it doesn't.......but accepting that it happens to both women and men is a necessary first step to reducing ALL domestic violence.

Don't be ridiculous.

I'm saying that violence perpetrated by women rarely has the same extreme consequences as acts of violence committed by men. Does that make it okay? No.

This isn't an issue of equality between the sexes, it's an issue of safety.

Apart from the silliess of a double standard, it is obvious that if we hit anyone, we can expect retaliation, eventually.  Telling women that it`s OK to hit men is inflaming the situation.  There is an limit to the amount of abuse anyone will take before they retaliate, everyone has their limit, why push to find it?

the data shows that overall, at least one in three victims are male

But the perpetrator is still a male?

Next time you blokes are getting a manicure together you should have D&M about this issue. You will feel better for having talked it through.

It looks like someone is a bit truth adverse here.  If having a little tanty makes you feel better, that`s nice, but it isn`t helping to solve any problems.

I am glad there is a step being taken to look at this issue from a non-gender specific angle. Some women are violent in relationships.

Agreed, also there are more ways than violence, to hurt a person.
The only way to deal with a problem is to face it honestly.

So rather than vague generalisations, why don't you guys start with the truth? What percentage of domestic violence is perpetrated by males?

You'd have to define domestic violence. As I've said, or meant to say, calling someone a name is enough to be classified as domestic violence, so as to beef up the figures for maximum outrage.  Withholding money so your wife can't gte her weekly pedicure is classed as financial abuse.  Honesty in defining abuse would be a welcome start.

So for all this insisting that we face the truth, none of you know what it actually is?

How could we?  We've been fed bullshit for so long....but this, although being a 'mens rights' website, does offer some interesting stats (which I tried to cut and paste but it just doesn't format right)

So what does it say about the percentage of domestic violence perpetrated by men?

No we haven't. I am struggling to find even a single false claim that we have been fed, or any claim at all, or any counterclaim. All I see is complaining about a bit of imagery.
